  1. Every Spanish midfielder used to tackle like that before they invented that tiki-taka style.
  2. You sound like a man that really enjoys 3 game suspensions. Mmmmmm.
  3. He's the best young player we've produced since McAllister.
  4. Didn't vote as I was just watching the stream, but thought Aryibi was the pick of the bunch today. He added decent set piece delivery and a goal to his mad ballz skillz today and terrorised the Dundee defence every time he was in possession.
  5. His contract expires at the end of the season.
  6. And Gorrin joining them after being sent off for a second yellow (both justified, unfortunately). I think the defence must have a few quid on Accies going down. EDIT: Suckered by Fairhill into posting in the wrong thread. Well played, my friend. Well played.
  7. He's deserved that one for his performance today.
  8. Jutkiewicz vs Kipré this afternoon (Jutkiewicz scoring in the 2nd minute). I see Gordon has scored again for Thistle, too.
  9. Soft pen for Dundee's first, and some slack defending for their second. Apart from that, we've looked good going forward and been the better team. Ariyibi having some fun on the wing (and his set piece delivery has improved too). Expecing a few more goals in the 2nd half.
  10. Careful not to lose your balance there while you backpedal.

    Trevor Carson

Because Robinson said Gillespie is a first team keeper that he brought in when he expected Carson to be moving in one of the past two transfer windows.
  12. Maybe because his form dipped a couple of weeks ago. I'd actually have benched him a game or two sooner.
  13. Did they mention the parachute payments? Be interested to see what that's worth these days.
  14. Robbo knows *exactly* what is going on. He's just making a point.

    Trevor Carson

Would not be surprised if one or other moves in the summer.
  16. Certainly ticks the boxes for our regular transfer strategy. Big. Check. Worked with Robinson in the past. Check. Out of the game with bad injury. Check. Something to prove. Check.
  17. I think a number of member countries use the FIFA formula, but you're right - local association rules take precedence. That's why it's much more beneficial for us when a youngster (like Erwin) moves south.
  18. Under FIFA guidelines, there is Training Compensation and Solidarity Payments. I think it's the Training Compensation this one falls under.
  19. There is a FIFA formula that many countries use that is based on multiple factors such as category of training facilities, number of years with the club etc. but I don't think Scotland (or England) adhere to that exact one.
  20. Not just Hastie - I don't think in general that loans between teams in the same division should ever be allowed.
  21. Exactly. He made an impact in his first few games, and then coaches and players worked him out. How he reacts to that will determine how good a player he becomes. If he can work out how to handle two-man marking and full backs trying to keep him out wide, then he can undoubtedly go on to bigger and better things. If not, then he might struggle. That's why I think he'd have benefited from another season of first team football with us. You can't beat playing against first team defenders in competitive games to gain that kind of experience.
  22. True. But defending seems to be optional for full backs in the modern game. (Now I'm going to pull my tartan rug over my knees and finish my Thermos of tomato soup).
