  1. He said he had a tough couple of months before Christmas with the infection and extra surgery, but things have been a lot more positive recently.
  2. I heard Cadden was a Bhuddist and supports Ranipokhari Corner Team.
  3. I was. That is why I said he had some of his best games when we tried to keep it on the deck. He worked well beside Turnbull - but Gorrin can do that too now he's fit, so we have good cover.
  4. Was going to fire up the Preston game to see if Moult got any game time, but I see he's been ruled out with a hamstring injury.
  5. After his need for more surgery, I think his playing career was always in the balance. I hope he makes a comeback, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if he did. I can't think of many players that return from injury after such a long time.
  6. I am also a Bigi fan and thought we wasted him with our style of hoofball - he played some of his best games when we tried to keep it in on the deck. Ironic that we punt him a couple of weeks after we make the conscious decision to start playing more football, but with Gorrin, Hastie, Turbull, Gboly, Frear, McCormack and Bigi all competing for starting spots they weren't all going to be happy. All this "luxury player" patter is nonsense. It's just about getting the balance right. We'd have been in poor shape if we had dropped Davie Cooper because he never tackled anyone or tracked back.
  7. Always a gamble for a player moving to a club with no manager. Needs to hope he fits into the new gaffer's plans. Didn't see it coming, but with our recent signings, youngsters and Gorrin hitting some form, can see it makes sense.
  8. My only concern would be a backup for Gillespie - not sure if Ferguson is ready to step in. I suppose that is fairly low risk (and you can often get an emergency loan for a keeper).
  9. So I see now. I thought he had been back at QoS this season.
  10. 4, if you include a now fit Gorrin.
  11. Dom Thomas moves on loan to Dumbarton.
  12. I see Scougall has been released.
  13. And Mbulu I guess that also means Hibs couldn't keep Ambrose.
  14. Sammon has made 32 league appearances in the English Premiership, 117 appearances in the English Championship and 27 appearances in League One. He might not have done much for us, but some managers down south obviously thought he did a job for them.
  15. Iran. There was a snippet I read (in the Evening Times I think) where Robinson said that, now ATS has moved on, he'd be looking for a new left back but confident Livingstone could step up if needed.
  16. Maybe. Or maybe the player himself would like to join a team where he plays more often.
  17. Probably got injured during the medical.
  18. I think Crewe are in the "we never pay any transfer fees" bracket, so probably cheaper for us to loan him out than cancel the last 6 months of his deal.
  19. In recent times, Accies have gone for young (and cheap). I doubt they will stray far from that strategy.
  20. Here's an article in The Record from 2009 when we signed him as a 9yr old.
  21. Once Cadden is fit that will be 4 legitimate first team starters that have come through the ranks. Another step in the right direction.
  22. Might see Frear start for Ariyibi, but will hopfeully continue with the same general shape of team.
  23. Didn't want to start a new thread on this, but noticed that we won our last 2 games with Bobby Madden and Willie Collum as refs. Just a data point the next time the "that ref always cheats us out the game" discussions start.
  24. Frear was definitely the best of the three at the weekend. Gboly looked knackered from the start and Hastie was good in spells, but - as you'd expect from a youngster at this stage - took on his man or went for the byline at times when an earlier pass would have been better (as his assist against Hibs proved). No doubts that he'll improve on that the more game time he gets, and it's not the worst problem to have.
