  1. Livi are pretty proficient at dragging teams down to their level of scrappiness - it's how they play. Even more so when on their home plastic, which is why I was quite happy when we drew there at the start of the season.
  2. Quite possibly. It was certainly a great example of a forward trying to defend.
  3. Aye, Campbell was a bit off today, but at least he kept at it rather than hiding.
  4. Based purely on the dotted line on the BBC League table, it looks like top 3.
  5. Wasn't it Hutchinson's daughter that suggested it to him?
  6. Another good 3 points. Pity the Aberdeen v Killie game wasn't a draw, but keeps us in 3rd.
  7. Campbell doesn't care. I remember Cadden joking he kept a book at home with all the names of people that took the ball off him in training.
  8. Odds on Campbell crunching the Livi player that was in his face after scoring?
  9. 1 - 0. Bit of a howler from the Livi keeper.
  10. Lacking a bit of tempo in the final third. It's OK to be patient in the build up but need to change gear when we get to the edge of the box.
  11. Neither choice is great - and that's the problem. Even if we sold Fir Park and managed to get council support, we'd be lucky to raise enough money to build a St Mirren Park style stadium.
  12. I though Livi might turn it into a midfield battle, but they've played deeper than that so far.
  13. Livi sitting in and we're working hard, but failing, to break them down. Then Livi clear long. And we try again.
  14. Trying to dig us out the financial black hole that Boyle and the Board put us in. While I credit JB for doing the right thing by the club when it came to servicing his loans, it was his spending and mismanagement that almost put us out of business in the first place.
  15. Anyone else lose the MFC TV stream, or is it just me? EDIT: never mind, I can see it on the Backup option.
  16. There's not a new ground in Scotland that has a better pitch than ours, so at best, if we spent millions moving to a new stadium, we'd get something not quite as good (and who knows if it would be free from any major problems if we ended up digging up an old steelworks.
  17. When he did his interviews at the start of the process, he did say that the work we do now has a shorter term remedial component, which means the long term plan is that we will need much less work on the pitch in the summer. As for a new stadium - no thanks. We can't afford anything more than a square lego-and-tin effort with uncomfortable plastic seats and no leg room (and a tenner to park).
  18. Agreed we don't do that nearly often enough.
  19. Just in case I'm not being clear (as people seem to be taking issue with something I haven't said), it's the STYLE OF PLAY I'm talking about. I'm not saying we won't win, or that their won't be goals. I'm just not expecting to see any flowing football or 20 pass moves. (But I'll be delighted if I'm wrong).
  20. Seems like sketchy grounds for an appeal, but Killie are really struggling with injured and suspended defenders, so I can see why it's worth a punt.
  21. I didn't make any of the points you are arguing against.
  22. It's easy to forget Seedorf is only 21 with only a handful of first team appearances. My biggest criticism of Hastie in the first team was his choice on when to pass/cross and when to take on a man. That comes with experience though, and experience earned by playing games. I doubt it's anything to to with arrogance; suspect it's more to do with wanting to make a difference. Like Robinson said after the game, there are a lot of young players out there who sometimes play too much attacking football instead of doing what is best for the team (and for game management). Of course, if he doesn't improve his pass selection, then I might need to change my opinion.
