  1. No doubt Kettlewell will remind everyone about that after every defeat.
  2. Maybe it could be as simple as inviting the members who are going to be removed to respond to an invitation to opt in to the 1886 tier. If they don't respond, then they are removed. That might cut down on the inactive members.
  3. Do we have any numbers that can be shared regarding non-contributing members whose status will be changed?
  4. I think Macron sells the same sizing as they make for players whereas, historically, kit manufacturers had "non-athletic" sizing for regular punters. It's also a fashion thing. When Pony's were originally made, the baggy was the trend on and off the pitch.
  5. Being transferred is a bit different. I was talking more about the players that choose to move on rather than re-sign, like Hastie, McKinstry, McAlear etc.
  6. Ah, OK - I just wasn't sure if I had missed something, as there was a lot to read. I was generally OK with the language in the harassment and bullying section, but I agree we don't want to be using that to avoid dissent. I also agree about members being stripped of membership. I don't see any reason that needs to happen.
  7. I see language about harassment and bullying, but nothing about dissent. Is there a particular policy amendment where that is described?
  8. Not sure about that. January, maybe, but why would a decent player immediately sign for us in June when they might have another 2 or 3 offers in July?
  9. It would be ideal to get new players in early, but the window doesn't close until 1st September and most of the decent ones like to take their time and see what's available.
  10. Halliday managed to play every game, so while he could never be accused of being pacey, he is fit.
  11. Seddon was also a good co-commentator on the MFC TV stream. Liked him as a player, but unfortunately couldn't rely on him to be fit. If the new gaffer is going to continue with high tempo, high press tactics, we need people who can cope with that level of training
  12. No Slattery?? No wonder you have a dodgy midfield.
  13. Further evidence, if any was needed, that leaving us is the first step on the inevitable road to lower-league Scottish football.
  14. I wasn't commenting on the appointment - I think it sounds like a great fit. I was commenting on the comment.
  15. At least Sparrow recently extended to 2027, so if does decide to make the move we can set our price. Would prefer to see him stay, though. I'm also happy to see that it looks more and more likely Miller will move abroad. His Dad is certainly talking that up.
  16. Or "lo barato sale caro" as my Spanish speaking colleague likes to remind us from time to time. (Cheap turns out expensive)
  17. Nobody cares if managers are arrogant when they're winning. In fact, they embrace them as being "a character" and "a breath of fresh air". When they aren't winning, fans use their arrogance as the stick to beat them with. As for The Daily Mail, there isn't enough money on the planet that would make me click a link on that publication.
  18. Post a review and ask for a refund.
  19. Stuparevic looked more like a number 10 when I watched him, albeit in a pretty limited number of minutes.
  20. Also need to bear in mind that the training regime (which will be reviewed in great detail every week) will have 70% of them crocked on any given match day.
  21. I would think he'll be backed for that without the Miller millions.
  22. This time of year is always the best, when you can sit out in the sun with a beer and imagine that we might have a good season in store.
  23. Sun's out here too, and I agree 100% with MJC about that training gear. Much better than last season's effort.
  24. Any time I hear a new manager's first interview I remember Mike Tyson's quote about "Everybody has a plan until they're punched in the face" It does sound like we've found someone with similar ideas to Wimmer, so looking forward to seeing what develops. I also read somewhere that he has a previous track record of addressing defensive problems, which sounds like a great fit. By the time we've had our pre-season training, Peterhead won't know what's hit them.
