  1. Adidas also pay Arsenal 70 million per year for wearing it. That's where the bigger clubs earn kit revenue.
  2. Dunno what all the fuss was about the new kit - it looks great.
  3. I'd guess 50% or more of players have known injuries at any given point in time. Not signing any of them would limit our options.
  4. Pretty standard at this stage of the season. Zero chances taken.
  5. I hope he plays often, plays well and Rangers have one of their worst ever seasons.
  6. Absolutely - wasn't criticising you. Just that when they have talked about safeguards in the past, the weasel words "very very unlikely" were later used.
  7. And to be clear, they didn't say "the ground can't be sold" - they said it was "very very unlikely" that could happen. Which is a "very very" different kettle of fish.
  8. The great thing about democracy is it gives everyone a voice. The terrible thing about democracy is that a vote from someone based on the colour of your tie counts the same as a vote from someone who has spent 5 years researching key issues.
  9. Given the wide ranging opinions on every design, every season, I don't think fan input or votes will have much impact on the wider set of supporters. I'd expect similar proportion of love/hate/ok for one that was voted-in.
  10. It's not an unreasonable point and one I'd be on board with. What if, however, the Well Society tells you that changing the design every year generates enough income to pay the salary of one player that season? Would it still be worth it?
  11. June - if you are a new member who joined after 10th June you don't get to vote on the proposal.
  12. Canada doing their best to keep Bair away from the League Cup (and on the bench again). Another 5 subs used and none of them Bair - although Jonathan David was good tonight.
  13. Although some of my favourite players wore the jersey, the yellow Admiral effort with yellow shorts is in there. It was a lot more yellow than the picture suggests and barely a nod to our traditional colours. Never liked the JAAX Bukta version Maybe more controversial, I wasn't a fan of our Unotuchables And our esteemed leader's Zoom dragged this one into the gutter. But Number One in my list is the jester effort I'm not a fan of fluorescent colours or black on away shirts, so without further comment and, my least favourite of all shirts: As much as I disliked the yellow Admiral one at the top of the post, they also made one of my favourite away kits - so swings and roundabouts.
  14. 1913 - 24 comes close Not my favourite, but doesn't even enter my top 5 of worst kits (or top 10 if we include away kits).
  15. The shirts aren't getting worse, you are all just getting older. They'll be creating a new dance for its release on TikTok.
  16. I love/hate the new white/claret shorts and love/hate the claret/black/amber socks. I always loved/hated the hoop/half hoop/no hoop tops and the new collar is class/gantin'. The sponsor's logo is cheap/OK/classic and the trim needs no change/tweaked/binned. Just the weans/nobody/everyone will be buying this. Congratulations/Are you on drugs/WTF? to all involved/
  17. They don't. 20% of business fail in the first year. 60% within 3 - 5 years. Boyle bankrupted our business, and if wasn't for the fact he chose not to be repaid all he was owed from the club, we wouldn't be here.
  18. We speculate all the time - that's how we ended up with players like Kipre and Ojamaa - and more recently Slattery, Davor, Moses, Stuparević and, of course, Bair. What we can't afford to do is break the wage structure for one or two players at the cost of leaving us 2 or 3 players short in the squad. We've seen first hand on multiple occasions how injuries can wreak havoc on our normally small pool. We ended up in administration because Boyle tried that approach with guys like Spencer and Goram.
  19. The WS has thousands of members. If they (we) haven't been happy with what the Board has been doing we could have changed things. The simplest way do to that was to vote out people you didn't think were doing a good job. I took that line at the last couple of elections, but there were obviously plenty who were happy and have voted for the same faces.
  20. Was an entertaining game, especially while it was 1 - 0. Argentina wasted a number of good chances, and Canda had 3 or 4 good opportunities to equalise. That last few times I have seen Canada they have struggled to finish off the chances they create. It looks like the gaffer isn't going to change things while they still create; even if they are lacking the clinical edge. So Theo could be on the bench for the whole tournament.
  21. Not everyone is blessed with the pace of a David Turnbull, Gary McAllister or Bobby Russell.
  22. Copa America kicks of this evening. Time for Theo to make his mark and bump up his value. Or watch the full game from the sideline like the rest of us - although he'll have a much better seat.
  23. I'm no Hollywood entrepreneur, but I'd probably wait for a formal rejection of my first offer before I made a second, worse (for me) offer.
  24. You say this every time, but have rarely (never) been able to give a single example of better players in our price range who want to play for us. Also, there is no point in spending all our money on 1 player when we have 4 positions that need filled.
  25. 2 more than Bair in the season before we signed him - and he played 27 games. And 2 more than van Veen scored the season before we signed him.
