  1. Given the parachute payments in place now, if you bounce back in a season, there probably isn't much financial loss for a relegated team. The figure I saw quoted was 500,000 - which is a pretty decent % of our annual turnover.
  2. But, but - according to reports (no doubt leaked by Doncaster) this was a major victory with the bookies battling it out because they were so desperate to sponsor us. It was only through the great dedication and business acumen of Doncaster we were able to secure such a fantastic deal and we should be falling to our knees in thanks he has finally, and underwhelmingly, done his job. I still have no idea why the clubs kept him there and never heard our Board respond as to why they did.

I think he was just answering a direct question. The "nightmare scenario" seems to have been picked up by journos in the last 24 hrs. There is a story in the Evening Times today too.
  4. That would make most sense and, given our new owner's approach to running the club, sounds like the path we will take.
  5. People who commandeer other people's seats should be targeted with drone strikes. Discuss.
  6. Do they still allow that? "Gonna gie's a lift, mister?"

Would be interesting last day if we knock 4 or 5 past St. Mirren and one of our rivals loses by a couple of goals.
  8. That is certainly a level we should be exploring. It's been a long time since we picked up a prospect from the Scottish lower divisions - something that should be part of our overall strategy.

Exactly. Forget about nightmare scenarios until they are a done deal. We might as well focus on banging in as many goals as possible and hope County or Killie lose by a few.
  10. St. Mirren just showed what lack of pressure can do for a team with today's result. Need to go in there with all guns blazing and make them want to start their summer holidays early.
  11. Hammell's tackle and pass for Erwin's goal was reminiscent of Joe Wark in his prime. Perfectly timed crunching challenge then curled a great ball up the touchline. Watched Joe do that many times from my close up vantage point on terraces.
  12. If we win 2 and they lose 2 we'll be above them on points.
  13. Higgins, Anderson and McCall never really seemed to stand out in any of the U20s games that I saw this season, so I doubt height had much to do with it. Especially when you also consider we gave 5'7" Dom Thomas a new contract .
  14. Aye, but if he can't get it to work then his Ace stream of 0bps is lower than Mobdro.
  15. Six appearances, 1 goal - last game in March; according to soccerbase.com
  16. Does Mobdro work for you? It's been pretty reliable for me and has all the Sky & BT Sport channels on there,
  17. That's how I read it too. Schedulers figuring it might come down to the last game.
  18. Well done lads. And a big thanks as always to Brazilian for organizing the annual sponsorship.
  19. Didn't Hibs let all supporters in for free last season rather than just season ticket holders? Let's face it. If the play off was QoS vs Ross County, they wouldn't care. The league is just scared on missing out of Rangers money.
  20. I'd be disappointed if Big Lee left. We stood by him through 2 bad injuries and a wee bit of loyalty in return would be appreciated.

    Josh Law

Unsubstantiated, biased opinion masquerading as fact is what makes this place so entertaining.
  22. He has the talent and the potential, but he's still a youngster. You know, one of those players that everybody keeps complaining we don't see enough of and then complain they aren't the finished article when they do play. He scored plenty of goals in the U20s, so does have finishing ability. It's a big step up to the first team, though. Some make it, some don't. But far too early to judge based on a handful of performances in a struggling team. I'd definitely be trying to sign him up for next season.
  23. Stories like this have been reported long before social media was a thing. Fans are pissed off, they are looking for targets, so they are eager to buy into the rumours.
  24. "Reports" like this always surface when teams aren't playing well. Always someone who knows someone that heard from a reliable source.

I'd fancy us against Hibs. QoS have a plastic pitch and we still struggle on those. Rangers are nothing special, but our recent history would mean they could field their U-14s and beat us. I'm hoping Hammell will be back to help shore up our defence, because otherwise they are going to cost us dear. We have been leaking soft goals for far too long now.
