  1. Maybe, but before Coach got the captaincy, Crags said that he didn't want it as he felt it had an adverse effect on his game. I'd rather he played his best, than worry about him being captain. He can still guide the youngsters without an armband.
  2. To be fair, Crags has said in the past that he doesn't like being captain. I don't know if we'll have 5 players by Monday, but Gannon seemed pretty confident in his post-match interview that he'd manage to bring in a few new faces quite quickly.
  3. Aye, me too, of course I just think we need to be careful as supporters as it's easy to dismiss an incident like this as being caused by outsiders. What is positive is the general condemnation from the other fans.

    Albania

Well there are definitely parts of Miami, Tampa and Jacksonville I would advise people to steer clear of. And any place where Paul Quinn is staying.
  5. Again, you are just guessing. If you are claiming that over the years there haven't been diehard fans who got drunk and into a punch-up, then you have been turning a blind eye. It happens at every club. There is no need to try and make excuses that they aren't 'real' fans. Clubs do have real fans that also cause trouble, and that's the major reason booze was banned from the grounds. So let's not get bogged down in semantics. It was Motherwell fans who caused the problem, now it's up to the rest of us (and the club) to make sure they are dealt with. By the sound of it, that's exactly what is happening.

    Albania

I don't think it's ignorance on anyone's part. It's just common sense so that when some fans are robbed or locked up by the local polis for being drunk or whatever, they can't complain that they weren't warned. I know things in Albania have changed in recent years, but there is no guarantee their local plod will have as light a touch as the Lllanelli boys.

    Sutton

The Herald was reporting a prior groin injury that almost made him miss the game.
  8. Let's not pretend that we don't have idiots in our core support - forget the "Rangers in Manchester" syndrome. Thankfully, it's only a few and something that the club should be able to deal with.
  9. This management lark is easy - I'm just disappointed I never got the call from JB
  10. Aye. Maybe I'm being unfair, but Sutton always struck me as a player who needs a wee bit more pre-season than some of the others. Hopefully his improvement will continue. Took his goals well.
  11. Obviously difficult to tell in a game like this, but I like what I've seen so far in the shape and style that Gannon is trying to impose on the team. Well played. Another week's training and we should be ready to step it up again.
  12. Don't want to see Sutton hurt, but this is an ideal situation to give Archdeacon a run.
  13. They obviously had to have a go after half time, as they need 2 goals. So I think it's more a case of them throwing everything they have at us for 20 minutes or so.
  14. Aye, but having a poor defence puts a lot of pressure on a keeper and tests their confidence to the limit. Not saying that Fraser isn't a duffer - just that it's difficult to tell when he has to deal with areas that aren't rightfully his. Buzz had similar problems.
  15. No keeper would have much confidence with a defence that can't deal with crosses.
  16. Hope Al B didn't see that short corner. What a waste
  17. Yes!!! Now let's keep hitting that byline.
  18. Aye, that one is working for me.

    Mfc Tv

Aye, scottishfootball.co.uk was a great effort that I was happy to support every week. I'd be happy to stump up a few quid every week for that sort of coverage again.
  20. So it would be better to lose to Llanelli than pick up 90 thousand Euros for winning and have a couple more competitive games in our pre-season? I think you're trying too hard to find things to complain about.
  21. Aye, but he's taking his wife. So that makes it about the same as not going.
  22. Unfortunately for St. Mirren, they seemed to play better against us on sand than they do on the green stuff.
  23. He certainly was. It was a bit of a coup from wee Tommy to get Russell and Cooper in the same team.
  24. I dreamt last night that O'Brien opened the scoring in the first minute. Unfortunately, I woke up after that, so I don't know how it finished. I think Llanelli will stick to the same plan, so we need to focus on hitting the by-line, stretching their defence, and pinging in plenty of crosses. We also need to make sure we don't start panicking if we don't hit an early goal. The first job at hand is to get 1 - 0 up. It doesn't matter if that happens in the first 10 minutes or the last 10 minutes; as long as it happens. Then we can worry about going on to win.
  25. If lack of television money means that the clubs get their finances in order and start focusing on the development of home-grown players, then I think it will be beneficial for football in the long run. Even in the SPL there are too many overpaid players of average ability.
