Was listening on the way home and Keevins said not one person in the stadium knew what it was for.......except most of the East Stand who saw the incident clearly and, it seems, the linesman at our side. I'm sure it was him who was in the ref's earpiece telling him what he saw. Thought it may have been the fourth official but it seemed a few Saints players were having a go at the lino after the red.

That was probably to do with ZFA pumping the ball straight in to the keeper's hands from a free kick in injury time when what we needed was to waste time.

Also - season finishes mid May and starts early-mid August adding an extra 3 or 4 weeks to the break/pre-season. However, I'm not in disagreement with you. I'm just pointing out the errors as challenged, and with relevance to Motherwell, rather than Scottish football/Celtic (no one else is likely to be in Europe around Christmas) as a whole. edit - and you'd probably find more pre-season trips abroad rather than staying at home in the winter

The European games would come half way through the season therefore no starting the season a month early? Meaning 2 whole calendar months with no competitive games?
