First time I've felt this all season but the referee has been pretty good so far.

He's been okay, fired that fantastic ball over the top to Bair, but he's still not good enough to be consistently picked week in week out. I believe we'd fare better with one of the loanees.
Possibly not a popular opinion but I'd keep O'Donnell beyond this season on a rolling contract on the understanding that he'll be backup cover across the defence rather than a first pick to start.

A James Hunt
Wasn't that the Scottish lad that was born in Spain, played for Real Madrid and was meant to be the next best thing?

Dom Thomas scored the winner for Queen's Park to beat ICT. Stuart McKinstrey played an hour.
Darragh O'Connor scored two as Morton thrashed Dunfermline 5-0 away from home.

I think that he is a very tidy player and certainly good to have in the squad but as soon as he gets near the 18 yard box it all falls apart for him. Defensively too as he has cost us a couple of goals by not staying tight to his man.

Get a room you two, should be talking about the game this afternoon.

I remember SK stating that in the week before Mika left he was in conversation with Arsenal and there was no mention of a recall.
-
Folk were very quick to blame Arsenal for what happened but I did wonder if Mika wanted away.

Ps. Obika was due back tomorrow but I have just heard he has a paper cut and has now been ruled out 🙂🙂
Presumably he suffered that injury whilst signing his extension clause for next season....

Who has told us we can't match Killie and St Mirren? we need to differentiate between can't and won't and it's a question that can be asked of the Society. There's a world of difference between the two positions.
Exactly this. I'll add the question, who's to say that Killie can afford it or that St. Mirren could afford what they offered? Motherwell didn't want to take a risk on our current finances so let's see what happens to Killie and other clubs that have paid over the odds in this window.

They are owned by a fan group, but only to the extent of 51%. So not like us. A local Charity....Kibble who look after kids I think.....also bought just over 25% of shares with the rest being privately owned.
So technically fan owned, but a bit like the Norwegian model we discussed whereby local Companies/Individuals enter into a Partnership Agreement.. Helping to fund various non football playing aspects of the Business. Perhaps that frees up funds for transfer business or perhaps the other investors contribute? They actually had less Members than the Well Society at last count but their model would appear to provide a better operating balance. I think....but not certain....that most German Clubs are 51% fan owned which also allows scope for that outside investment. Red Bull upset that applecart and that is why most fans/clubs detest them.
Our problem could be that the fans own too many shares, leaving no scope for outside investment. Whatever, they would look to be in a healthier position than we are.
I think that is true but there are at least two exceptions - Stuttgart who are owned by Mercedes and Wolfsburg owned by Volkswagen.

Stephen Frail has clarified that he's still signed with us so, I guess, may feature towards the end of the season if his recovery goes well.

Steelboy, MJC etc expect to post nonsense and get a reaction.
To be fair to MJC he just seems to be a 'glass half empty' kind of chap.

He will forever be synonymous with the luminous yellow (Pony?) Kit. What a player. Wonder where he is now.
Wonder no more....

So you think he should be top earner and that he is a priority of where we should put our budget.
Right back at you I am glad you are not head of recruitment. Bet you suck at Monopoly.
Not interested in any of that. Just my opinion that offering any player a pay-cut to stay on for another two years is very likely to see them leave.

Who was keeper when we got beat 4-0 by accies with Lesley as interim coach. He’s hard to beat a worst keeper surely??
It was the Czech / German lad Dan Twardzik wasn't it? He actually wasn't a bad keeper, just only tall enough for 5-a-side goals.

I'd offer Kelly a contract to ponder but on less terms than he is on.
I'm so glad that you're not our head of recruitment. I accept that he has been less consistent than usual this season but he's been capped by Scotland since his last contract was signed and that achievement can't be rewarded with a pay-cut.

Surely Colin Meldrum must pip him in that queue. He had some absolute clangers for us and I know he done the same at Rugby Park.
Worse than Gunnar Nelson, Craig Samson or Stevie Woods?

Alan Gow must be in with a shout for the no. 9 shirt in this team.
-
I'm not bothered where he goes as long as he leaves Celtic for cash this window. Wherever he ends up next will hopefully be a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

Cedric Kipré having to endure English football fans on their finest behaviour today as West Brom were knocked out of the cup by Wolves.

Would love to know what the plan is if Bair gets injured at some point today/tomorrow!? Hope to hell we have one…..
We're going full Stuart Pearce mode and The Big Ox will save the day.
