  1. Really sorry to hear about Christian’s passing, I really thought he could be as good as Kipre in my opinion, but injury unfortunately paid to him staying at FP. RIP Haven’t seen any comments from SR?
  2. Out of interest does anyone think like myself that there will be no reserve football next year probably due to financial restraints caused by coronavirus, so our squads will be a lot less.?
  3. I was basically saying that there was nobody that I could see that stood out on the young reserve players, I thought Semple had the potential but certainly not a definite for going into the first team, I knew he missed most of the season through injury, which in my opinion is not a good sign as we have enough players injury prone, but I would like to give him the benefit of doubt and hope turns out a great player for us. Talking of the younger players have the club made any statement on who they are retaining as they usually sort out who they are retaining before they deal with the first team players. i would imagine there will be plenty of youngsters getting released right across the country, as the coronavirus situation dictates finances.
  4. It will be very interesting transfer window indeed, I am not sure what SR meant by saying that he cannot afford to take any chances with incoming players Does that mean we will be going for more established players? Another point we usually bring through one or two players through the reserves into the first team by the end of season which unfortunately not possible this season, having looked at the reserves we don’t have an abundance of players ready to come through, I think Jamie’s Semple probably the best chance of getting into first team, I am not convinced about Macivor even although he was getting his opportunity this season, the other prospects Cornelius, Devine, Starrs not seen enough of them to be convinced they are ready to take the step up.
  5. It looks definitely a possibility we are in for White, the next question is “how good is he?” I know Robinson likes to get players that he can improve, let’s hope this is the case with him, as he has had many clubs and until this week never heard of him, anyone any idea what kind of player he is?
  6. Did you notice the players at the end of 90 mins getting water via china mugs, no water bottles then, sign of the times!!
  7. Well the good news is Alan Campbell will have a chance to get over his ankle knock! i would imagine it will be difficult for every team what to do regarding football training, will they consider this a shutdown and just send players home on standby or just keep them on a routine training as I suspect this is going to last a few weeks, if not until the official end of the season, let’s hope the SPFL are giving updates and guidance to clubs, although if the guidance is like the politicians we will have mixed views and opinions.
  8. I agree completely, you must question the prosecution service for taking this case to court. lets hope this will help kick start our players into a winning ways again.
  9. The only good news is Mazinga misses the match through suspension, but it will be interested to hear if there is any further injuries from Tuesday.
  10. I think Robinson’s priority is a training ground as he has mentioned many times especially at the AGM in December 2019
  11. I do worry for us on Saturday as I am sure St Mirren will take encouragement from our last two performances, but let’s hope we are the wounded animal on Saturday? mind you I see the Sun is trying to get Long suspended for a stamp on Brown in the first half, no doubt he will get a ban as everyone knows you cannot do that on Celtic player especially Brown!!
  12. So does that mean he is back in our first team squad?
  13. Looks like everyone is fit apart from the usual suspects Turnbull and Dunne, as I do think we need a strong side against Dundee, I am still slightly concerned as I do think Dundee will have a go at us and with us undefeated in the last couple of years against them, this might be the game that they will turnaround their fortune against us, provided we have the correct attitude we should win though.
  14. Has anyone heard how the closed door game went against Hibs yesterday?
  15. SR indicating there might not be any new players arriving this window!!
  16. I hope you don’t wait til 7.30 to enter for kick off as you might miss us scoring as it’s a 7.20 KO
  17. Hopefully good news that we have a friendly on Tuesday against Hibs, albeit being closed doors, at least we are having a game prior to cup game on Saturday as last season we had no game prior to Ross County after the winter shutdown, which didn’t do us any favours.
  18. At the AGM SR said that he was seeing the specialist at the end of the week 20th Dec hoping that he can go to the next stage of his recovery, but no news of how that went, I just hope no news is good news.
  19. Considering our recent form and lying third in the SPFL I would love to see a good turnout of Well fans, it would be great to see at least 5,000 home fans, is that too much to expect?
  20. I am surprised by Wigan want him back from loan, I don’t think I will be that upset if true.
  21. Sorry I forgot to add that Alan Burrows reckons there was no sell on clause with Kidderminster Harriers for Johnson.
  22. It was also mentioned by Alan Burrows that the Chris Cadden situation will be a long process but seem confident of possibly getting some money for him but will need to be sorted out by FIFA in Switzerland. He also mentioned that we are still in dispute with Marvin Johnson’s club before we signed him as they think they are entitled to some of the money from his sell on clause!!
  23. Stephen Robinson did state that Ross County has a lot bigger budget to ours, so would suggest Livingston and Hamilton are the two below us in the budget league. Another point raised by SR was our training facilities which he said is not fit for purpose, and he said that a good training facilities definitely attracts better players, the chairman did say they are looking into the situation but the usual problem of lack of funds was the problem.
  24. Mugabe unfortunately totally at fault for the first goal, let’s hope it is a lesson learnt, but I would suspect Hartley will play against Killie, although the plastic pitch might not suit him?
  25. Nobody has mentioned that there was only about 900 Hearts fans turned up on Saturday which is approximately 5% of their supporters that go to every home game, we had approximately 750 fans at Paisley on the Wednesday night which is 20% of our supporters, so much for the Hearts who claim to be the third biggest support in Scotland!! i think even St Mirren would have brought more to Fir Park than Hearts.
