I think we need to put Maswanhise up front with Armstrong and press higher up the field. Having said that I don’t know if hearts have any players with speed that could hurt us on the break or with balls over the top. of course Maswanhise is a gamble. We’d just have to hope we get the “good” Maswanhise

I’m still not sure what they seen to merit a red card, other than a superb piece of acting from the Killie player.

Regardless of whether we get top 6 or not it’s a huge game for us. Obviously top 6 takes all the pressure off but If we end up in bottom 6 then getting 3 points will go a long way to helping us stay out of the play off spot. So we need to go for it and leave it all out on the field.

My take was that he pulled his arm up to cushion the player coming in but the Killie player went down like he’s been hit by sniper fire. Basically Balmers arm hit him in the chest

I’d replace Armstrong with Maswanhise and try to play the ball to his feet or behind the defender. The way we are just now Armstrong doesn’t offer much. Have to playing balls into the box for him. Also need a midfielder to make runs to support the forward. A lot of work but just sub out when tired.

Good start at Dundee v St Mirren if we can take care of our business

As someone mentioned earlier. It’s all about the score today. Good performance would be nice but any performance resulting in a win will be accepted.

“Slim chance” based on its up to us to perform well in the last game against Hearts at Fir Park. Depending on results this weekend (if we win) we could be going into last game only needing a point to secure top 6. Of course if we get beat we could be doomed to bottom six before next weeks game.

Can’t recall the Killie players name but the guy on the right wing had a field day against us last time. Hopefully Thompson can keep him quiet.

Is Balcombe on loan? Since he really hasn’t been the cause of our defeats perhaps just giving Ox some extra recovery time ?

Tough one for MW. Poor display yesterday and then we never play well at Killie. I can’t believe we got out of there with a point the last time but yet I’m still hoping for 3 points to set up a “playoff” game for the last one before the split

We should be putting pressure on ourselves to beat Killie. Even if we don’t make top 6 the more points we get the better. St Mirren away at Dundee and Hearts v Utd. A win could see us back in top 6, possibly only needing a draw versus Hearts in the last game, to stay there.

I’m keeping in mind that MW’s job this season is to keep us up. However, we are so close to top six that defeats like this (and how we played) are very disappointing. Still in with chance but need two victories and StMirren to drop points.
