I had Davie Whiteford for PE teacher at Dalziel and Wilson Humphries for English. He was also BB officer for company 2 and then 2/4, along with George Cummings who played for St Mirren and Thistle before going into refereeing.

Not sure how they work it but we played the sheep twice at for park already. 2-4 and the recent 0-1

The only positional change that can happen would require Dundee to beat rangers by 5 or 6 goals. Aye! we best wait and see. 😳

Home games?

Can’t be too critical of the team today. That wind was ridiculous and made for a terrible game. Although we were a bit careless with the ball today.

Well, already clear of automatic relegation and hopefully clear of playoff spot after first post split game.

Draw fair result today. Travesty if hibs had won with that pk. Then Shaw almost knocked one in at the death

Dundee game has Aberdeen much more possession but shots and on target shots pretty even.

At some point we will have to go for it. I think we looked like we wanted to make sure we didn’t over commit in attack and let hibs break.

Wind is ridiculous. Seems to be blowing in multiple directions. We haven’t looked very dangerous so far. Hopefully we can improve second half and score a few goals……. Oh! And of course not concede any.

Last week was just awesome. We sucked for 40 minutes. Then controlled the rest of the game. Conceding the second goal was a kick in the goolies but yet we still kept going. Bit of luck getting the penalty but then great effort to get another two goals. However, I’m hoping we can win this game the way we disposed of Ross County at fir park although I’ll take any way that results in a win for super well. COYW!!!

I’m ok with that. We just have to beat hibs. That’s the only thing we can affect.

All we can do is focus on beating Hibs and just see how the other results pan out. Regardless of the other results, beating Hibs will be a big 3 points for us. Whether that gets us in top 6 or helps secure safety it would be a great 3 points for us.

So they are approx. 12 million in the hole?? Where do they think they are getting the money to make that up???

I usually have steelmen open and will comment during games. Since I’m sitting watching it by myself most times it’s as close as I get to being able to talk about moments in the game as they happen.

I saw 1.5 million quoted as the proposed investment over a few years but not sure if that’s correct. We need all the help we can get but that amount doesn’t get me too excited. I could probably run through 1.5 Million nae bother in 3 years by myself. Now 1.5 million a year is getting better but not sure it’s “life changing” for Motherwell FC but could be enough so that we don’t have to worry so much about falling out of existence. Whether it’s 1.5 million a year or over a few years, I don’t think that’s enough to warrant giving up controlling share. I understand it’s not just money but also the integrity and intentions of the investor. All things being equal and asssuming the integrity of the investor I’d be looking for much larger investment than 1.5 million to give up controlling interest.

I’d really like to see Gent and Vale both back here playing next season. Both are pretty handy and always put in a good shift. Players who have some skill and put in a shift are like gold dust to teams like us.

I’d be happy enough to see loan deal again for next season if that’s the only way to get him.

Exactly, we should be trying to set up our possible “target” players so that we can at least get some sort of money when they leave. Surely we can come to some sort of agreement with them regarding contract extensions versus offers from other teams? Would love to keep Gent and Vale but not sure what that would take and wouldn’t be surprised if they already have good offers lined up for next season already or under discussion.

I’m waiting on result from Dundee v Rangers before I start commenting on this game but either way we should obviously be trying to win it.
