LOL thanks ! well lets hope that doesn't turn into his regular eating place then.
-
Sorry but this is right over my head. Is there any significance to this?
-
I thought someone had said that a while back on here. I assume we will be offering him a new ocntract.
-
how many games has Lasley played for us?
-
2 year deal I would think.but I'll go with faddy the daddy's post !
-
So probably comes down to does he want to play every week or is he happy to take the money he is getting now and not play. Have no clue which way he will go on that.
-
So who are the players still under contract that we should probably try to move on? I am not sure how that works? I would assume that the player in question would have to agree to the move, right? So might be pretty difficult to move players on while they are still under contract ?
-
Just to clarify it was the first one of their 9 in a row.
-
Yep! I was at that game. Ball bounced off Boby Lennox's knee in about the 90th minute, at end where copper stand is now
-
Don't know enough about McCourt to pick either way but for me it's not about how long you can play it's about how much you contrubute or can affect the result while you are on the park. You need to prevent goals against us or make/score goals for us. Not point in being able to run around for 90 mins if you are not having an effect on the outcome of the game. if you can play for 30 mins a game and make/score goals, I would take a player like that if he fits in our budgeted salary structure. I have no idea if McCourt could deliver the goods on a consistent basis to warrant signing him but in general if we could get a player to perform for 30 mins and contribute significantly in those 30 minutes I'd take that player.

I have no clue how the discussions went but I would assume that we offered reduced terms but Faddy knocked it back? Certainly a possibility. I would hope we at least did that. I would have been happy with him signingin on again taking up a "regular" wage but I can see where we just couldn't justify another season of additional expense, all be it from outside budget, based on his injuries and performances. Still, never say never, stranger things have happened........................add your cliche here
-
whether it's him or the product it would appear not to be working so time to try another. we seem to be lazily just copying england and that doesn't seem to be working
-
Sounds like he should be able to do the job then ! So is it him or the product?

There was a lot of concern on here over Flow's qualifications for the position he now holds. I've been away a long time so I was wondering what are Doncaster's qualifications that enabled him to take on that position?
-
For us we have to win 3 rounds to get into the group stages, right?
-
yes that statement containing world class threw me a bit as well......................thought I had got onto the Aberdeen forum or something
-
Same here plus every now and again I'll just yell out "Yaaaaassss"
-
Is that FACT or your opinion?
-
While I get the sentiment behind the statements, performing well in the league and winning the cup are not mutually exclusive so hopefully McCall can pull another great season out of the bag AND a Scottish cup win. I mean I'll take a league cup win but would rather it was the Scottish cup. Hopefu;;y when it comes around to cup time again the memory of how we exited the cups wil spur the players on so that we don't get any repeat performances in the knockout competitions. Having said the above i'd gladly swap a good season for a decent run in europe by that I mean not just reaching the group stages but actually making it through the group stages.

Feel free to use this thread to post any apologies or retractions to previous posts. This is also intend as a refence to be used prior to posting shite on the message board such that aforementioned shite may be reduced in quantity as it will never get to zero and nor would we want it to get to zero 1. Our 4 draws this year were as below I think....plenty of goals for the fans. Hibs and celtic 3 - 3 DU and Aberdeen 2 - 2
-
It was said McCall learned form last year and players wil be given deadlne. I hope that deadline hits soon so we can dispense with rumours etc We wil lknwo who we are keeping and can focus on bringing in some players. I find it alot easier to deal with rumours of incoming players rather then outgoing possibilities.

I havn't even gone bak to look wher the free kick happened and wher eit was taken from but I am sure it wuold still ahve ended up in a goal mouth stramash anyway. but i do find it very strange why none of the papers are saying it should ahve been a pnealty anyway. you could just palce that still of Vernon and Hutchy under that back apge headline "why is this not a foul"
-
Tend to agree with that. They both went up the both contacted they both fell why should it be a foul for the keeper? Not like he remotely had posession of the ball
-
I hope they can let us know who is going and who is staying, pretty quickly, so that we can enjoy the wait to see who migh join us. I hate the whole indecision thing about who is leaving.
