I think it would have been more understandable and that there would have been less fuss and less comments from our side had Celtic just announced that he failed medical and they are withdrawing their offer. But no, they try and pull a fast one to get him for a reduced price.

I thought statement was ok. I didn’t agree with the decision but the board made their decision and issued statement accordingly.

I’m hoping the club will make an announcement fairly quickly once they have him examined by whichever specialist doctor we use to cut down on the speculation. ..... and I’m assuming your statement is purely speculation.

Hopefully we will get some official details from the club regarding his medical issue and recovery time once they have consulted with our own specialists. I'm really hoping it's "what? He's fine" but id like to think Celtic or even worse a physician wouldn't resort to that level and so I have to belive that he does have an issue. So lets get him fixed real quick.

The original thing I saw stated in it that this is not the fault of Celtic or David Turnbull. Thereby inferring it's Motherwell's fault? Plus if they still wanted him they must have been very confident of him being 100% after minor preventive surgery. As someone else stated, I believe they were at it.

Paraphrasing. Didn’t they just say they would take care of him through any surgery and get him back to 100%? So then first step would be to confirm surgery is required.

I’d love for a second and/or 3rd opinion to give him clean bill of health. Now wouldn’t that be embarrassing. That would just be icing on the cake. Feel sorry for the lad but Im confident he will get a better deal come January or maybe even this window

I think what they meant to say is. Celtic are reneging on the original deal and MFC have insisted on original terms so the deal is off. WELL DONE MOTHERWELL. hopefully we can do right by Turnbull so if another team makes an acceptable bid in this window we will entertain that.

Zero negotiations required. We need to give celtic a deadline and force the issue to closure. And not a far out deadline. I mean something like you have till Friday 10am to accept or it’s done and over for good. Turnbull might be disappointed but he will get other better offers.

I think most people are worried that a “fee they are happy with” will be less than originally agreed. Which would mean we let them shaft us. We shall just have to wait and see how it pans out. I would say though that I think MFC should be driving this to a close much sooner rather than later.
