  1. See! You just highlighted how much progress we have made over the years. We are all now scunnered at a much higher level than we used to be!!
  2. As far I could see Keeper is blameless. Not even sure why McManus even had to touch the ball. I couldn't belive it when t I watched the ball go in the net. Obviously he was trying to head it over but would have been harmless if he just let it go. Daft error but I am sure he wil help us get many points this season
  3. Seems like a worse reaction to the missed penalty tonight than the one from Murphy against Odense that might actually have meant something.
  4. My preference would have been to have a go at them with our strongest team. In saying that the decision to leave the 3 behind doesn't really bother me. Especially since I am not sure what our strongest team is! I assume McCall knows what his tactics will be and I would have been inclined to leave Sutton out and go with someone more mobile up front anyway. I think similarly in midfield he will be going for more energy and workrate in place of the chance of Faddy producing a brilliant moment. I don't think he lacks ambition, just that he is realistic and as someone mentioned, may well have chosen not to start the 3 of them anyway even if they had been there. Still holding out hope for a 3 - 1 win for super well
  5. haven't seen anythin official anywhere about him signing for anyone
  6. A 3 - 1 result for us is not impossible. You never know how a game will go. We have to go there beliveing that we can do it. Every team has an off day and the longer Kuban has gone without messing up the more likely that game is due. So why not Thursday's game COYW
  7. I'll have to look at it again before I can 100% say that wasn't the case but at the time it just looked like a stupid rush of blood to the head as he pushed him. Having said that it was so obvious that I can't believe the ref would miss it so perhaps you are correct.
  8. Yep! We dodged a bullet on that one!
  9. Agree that it is against the odds of us going through but still not too far fetched that it's totally impossible. As mentioned, it also gives the guys another competetive outing which is what we need mreo than training right now. Let go have a shot at upsetting them.
  10. But we know he is going to get better so picking up 3 points away from home and Faddy still to click looks pretty good
  11. haven't see Anier at all so don't know what he is like but I would think we need to have him or McHugh in there up fornt to add a bit of pace, movment, tenacity or whtever you want to call it.
  12. Which means I get to wake up early Sunday morning to watch the game on the telly. 7.15am kick off but changed days. When i came here in 1989 i could hardly get the results on a short wave radio. Now I can get up and watch the game live in my own living room. Ecellent with a captial F ! COYW
  13. Didn't see enough ( i only saw from just after their first goal to second goal ) on the stream to vote but like you say I did notice that when we gave ZFA the ball he was immediately closed down by three players.
  14. Yep! As soon as they broke from the corner i was thinking " this is Pana all over again"
  15. I think initially yes but at some point we have to go for a goal or 2
  16. Tough choice for McCall to pick the right formation. Trying to balance how they play against how we best shape up. Trying not to give away goals but still need to score a couple. Not an easy task at all, so here's hoping that the 11 men on the park all stand up to be counted and put in a good display.
  17. Seems like most people, on here, are agreed on 8 starters although not necessarily on what role they should be played in Nielsen Ramsden McManus Hutchinson Hammell Lasley Vigurs McFadden Not a bad bunch of players by any means. So now the puzzle is selecting the remaining 3 out of these, still pretty decent players. Lawson Carswell ZFA McHugh Sutton Anier I have a feeling that McCall my actually have 2 team selections in his head. One for the first part of the game to try and keep it tight then a more attacking formation to go for goals in the second half or last 30 mins of the game. So perhaps McFadden may not start since you would really want him in the "going for goals" line up I think we may see along the lines of Nielson Ramsden McManus Hutchinson Hammell Carswell Lawson Lasley Vigurs ZFA McHugh The changing to below for the second half or last 30 mins Nielson Ramsden McManus Hutchinson Hammell McFadden Vigurs Lasley ZFA Sutton McHugh( Maybe Anier ) This may be a lot of shite but no one to talk to about the game so got to vent my pent up anticipation in writing on here Cmon Ye 'well 2 - 0 for the good guys
  18. I'm with you Stipels. Not quite sure why so many pesimistic views. I always feel we are in with a chance of winning any game at fir park.
  19. See my earlier 2 - 0 prediction. is that better?
  20. I don't know much about their players or their performances but I think we have a chance of going through. They are only 2 or 3 games into their season so they still may not be fully into their stride yet either. 2 - 0 The 'Well Based on other threads we have no clue how we will line up or play so what chance do they have of lining up against us ??? Should be a fun game!
  21. Considering we have Faddy on the team that would be a great prediction to come true!
  22. Lazy shite LOL g look on the offical site ............Vigurs I was going to just post the question too but uncharacteristically decided to just go look it up !
  23. добро пожаловать Kritik I think we need a buillt in translator for this thread
  24. That's a pretty decent looking line up. So let's say we grab an out and out goal scorer ( using the phrase from another post ) and a speedy winger. What would the line up then be if we were to include these 2 players from the start? I suppose having the extra 2 players is about providing options? speedy winger goal scorer
