  1. i wasny sure if it was a penalty for the foul on hughes at the time but seeing the highlights it was definately a pen.the ref had a shocker he gave us about two decisions all game.clarkys shot was a cracker it looked a lot closer on tele than it did at the game

  2. Forgot to get my tickets at the weekend before I headed down south. So got the mother to go down and get me mine for Saturday, only just off the phone 15mins, apparently, the first allocation are sold out and another 400 tickets will go on sale tomorrow!

    Plenty for all..

cheers for that robyn im gonna go up and get mine the morra then.do u know how many we got in the first allocation

  3. weve been crying out for somebody to give some protection to the back four and klimpl looks like the man for the job.it was good to see him go head to head with that bawbag tokely cause most players shite there self fae him

  4. i went for big porter but every player played well today.klimpl was impressive sitting in front of the back four and hughes had has best game for a while as a result.that was probably hammells best game since he came back and he was unlucky no to score after a good run in the second half

  5. i went for young saunders he looked pretty comfortable all game.quinn had a decent game in a different position but no many others would get pass marks.why does mcghee never start jim obrien but he always puts him on when were losing surely if he thought he could do something for us he would be starting him more often

  6. we dont have the big tele deals up here so clubs have to make as much as they can at the gates.something will have to be done cause attendances are dropping all over the country £22 to watch a spl game is a joke.my pal was in italy a few weeks ago and he got into the juventus v inter milan game for £9 says it all really

  7. the link up between our strikers last season was excellent whenever we had to hit the ball long we had good movement either side of porter in mccormack and clarkson.this season none of our strikers are on the same wave length when the ball is flicked on its never to any of our players.porter and sutton up front aint working and if we go with a front three of porter, clarkson, murphy thats a similar shape to what we used last season so we must get back to that.we dont have the midfield to play the long game either cause none of them make the run to try and get beyond for a flick on.its time we got back to the same shape and mentality that saw us play some excellent football last season

  8. smith

    quinn craigan klimpl hammell

    reynolds

    lasley hughes fitzpatrick

    clarkson porter

id put reynolds into midfield and make us harder to beat.let him just sit in front of the defence and use his pace to break things up.craigan is a bit of a donkey at times but we really miss him when hes no playin.stop the long ball game for a start cause porter and sutton hardly win any headers where last season clarkson and porter linked up really well with the ball on the deck.i know mccormack played a big part in our passing style last season but if weve had to change our whole game plan becasue of one player leaving that is worrying

  9. if we get relegated and boyle is still in charge there could be some really dark days ahead.the whole club would change and we could be stuck in the 1st division for a long time no many teams bounce back fae relegation straight away

  10. I remember noticing exactly the same thing about Malpas when he was in charge. Couldn't give a shit about results or what was going on.

looking at mcghee standing there today he looked exactly like malpas did the game we got fucked up at dunfermline 4-1.

  11. mcghees tactics and team selection are getting more bizarre as the weeks go by.the next two games are vital if we dont pick up atleast four points in those games then mcghee should do the decent thing and walk

  12. were in big trouble and if things dont improve soon theres every chance were going down.that was another shocking performance and the lack of fight in the team is really worrying.porter looks like a guy that doesny want to be there cash in on him in january and freshen the team up with some new faces cause if we dont were goin down

  13. The ticket office shuts at 3.30pm today and DOES NOT open tomorrow, sales are not good apparently and the club are trying to get Accies to open a 'pay gate', but the Polis might not let them. Why oh why is the ticket office shut tomorrow, the club is yet again shown to be a joke!!

ive no had a chance to get across to fir park for tickets so unless accies make it pay at the gate im fucked.any idea when well know if theyve decided to make it pay at the gate.i never thought for a minute the ticket office would be shut the morra morning poor decision by the club how could they no be open for a couple of hours before kick off total joke

  14. Nonsense, why on earth should our place be at the lower end of the table? Of course we can't compete with the Old Firm but why does that relegate us to the bottom six of the table all the time? The reason I don't like the punching above our weight comments every time we lose a game is because we just use that as an excuse every time we are shite. We are rotten, och well, we are meant to be, we are just wee Motherwell. We get relegated, ah well, that's just Motherwell's lot. Absolute nonsense. On our day we can beat anyone and we can play decent football when we feel like it. Yes, our fans can be hyper critical but let's not confuse this with the fact that we are watching professional footballers play a game they are paid well enough to do. A manager who managed to successfully double his salary last year. Tell the St Mirren's, the Hamiltons, the ICT's, the Falkirks of this world that they are there to make up the numbers. It's not us, the supporters who need to get real, it's Boyle, Leitch, McGhee and those players who currently think all they need to do is turn up and all will be ok.

I don't expect Motherwell to win the league, I don't expect Motherwell to win every cup going. I don't expect Motherwell to finish top six every season. What I do expect is a bit more effort and fight than the current shite we as fans are watching. From the top down at the moment, this club is a shambles, but why does it need to be this way? Because we are Motherwell and that's what we are used to?

spot on post wellgirl i couldny have put it better myself

  15. Agree 100% we need a manager to come in and kick some serious ass.

How do we expect the players to try when the manager is already making excuses about the lack of signings come Jan

good post tam.the thing is to is that mcghee doesny see his longer term future at motherwell so how can he trusted to bring in new players in january.time for a change i think

  16. You must have a short memory because although we've been poor recently we are still a lot better than the Malpas period. We played pretty well against Rangers a couple of weeks ago for instance.

We went 12 matches with 1 win in the later days of Malpas, lets not get carried away with the criticism.

It's not good right now but supporters need to avoid blowing things out of perspective. We are going through a bad spell right now but let's not compare half a season of mediocre fare with a full season of absolute drivel.

from the falkirk game until tonite those performances have been as bas as anything witnessed under malpas.our defence is as pish as ever, midfield gets constantly outplayed and out strikers couldve played all nite and we wouldny have done anything.this is relegation stuff and from recent games we dont have the skills to cope with a battle at the bottom.mcghee has probably three games to save his job if he doesny think hes upto it then he should walk and let us get somebody in that actually wants to be motherwell manager.

  17. Left early and back in the house furious after another awful display. We are relegation candidates big time now and we are in huge bother. We don't have a side that has the bite and bottle for a dog fight. The likes of St Mirren, ICT and Hamilton look like they will be able to grind out points here and there.

We are in a lot of bother folks and January will have to be players in to give us a chance as if we dont string together a wee run soon we will be up to our necks in it.

McGhee has lost the players big time. He doesn't want to be here and the players are picking up on this vibe and showing it in our performances.

Atleast Malpas could grind out a win here and there with some shite football. That is what we need to do to stay up!!

great point mate it really does look like the players arent playing for mcghee it looks like malpas all over again.mcghees constant comments about leaving are bound to piss some players off and to me that looks like its happening

  18. these last few weeks have been as bad as anythin witnessed under malpas.the defence again tonite was all over the place leading to a pish poor goal fae a corner for killie.midfield again non existant the forwrd line is the most worrying aspect.hughes and porter dont look interested anymore they must be sold in january and get some players in thats got a bit of fight about them.from the looks of it were gonna be in a relegation battle this season and right now its no looking good for us if accies beat us on saturday were in big trouble.

  19. lets hope we have this game won by the time killie do there usual trick against us do fuck all for 90 minutes and score the winner right at the end.id go with a team of smith, malcolm, klimpl, reynolds, hammell, lasley, hughes, fitzpatrick, clarkson, porter,

murphy.this is the start of some winnable games for us so im hopefull for a 2-0 well win with clarky and ports on target
