  1. coulthirst while still relatively young has scored very few goals despite a number of loan moves to the lower leagues in england,i hope were not after him especially if there's a fee involved.the thought of goal into the season with moult, fisher, blyth and bowman as our striking options gives me the fear a bit,we badly need a different type of forward to what those 4 are.

  2. clubs usually try and take the piss when it comes to pricing pre season friendlies,so its good to see very sensible prices put it place for this, under 16s getting in free for friendlies should be a rule.

  3. Am I the only one who is a bit concerned about our central defence? Ben Heneghan may move on and we don't know yet. Stephen McManus is 35 in September and has long term injury problems. Thats our central defence apart from Carl McHugh who was signed as a midfielder. No rumours yet about bringing in new central defenders.

i can see why your a bit concerned, defensively we were awful last season and we have been for a long time, aye we will be bringing in some new defenders that hopefully can make a difference but no matter who we bring in its the one area of the park that we seriously need to improve upon,if we dont then we will only continue to struggle.

  4. even if moult stays we badly need another striker, someone with a bit of pace and movement to compliment the likes of moult and fisher would be ideal.there is other areas of the squad that need addressed first, particularly in defence but if we can somehow get shot of blyth or bowman or ideally both then we should be in a position to sign another forward.

  5. even with pearson gone and lasley maybe retiring,if were trying to learn from last season then the last thing we should be doing is signing another slow midfielder in there 30s,we need younger and more mobile players in the middle of the park and flood certainly aint that, even lasley at 37/38 would be a far better option than flood.

  6. there's no way rangers will offer anything close to what we want for moult or even heneghan,it will be the usual tactic of putting in a low ball offer and trying to upset the player enough that they become desperate to leave by handing in a transfer request.we have a big enough job on our hands this summer trying to rebuild our squad without being pissed about by rangers all summer, tell them to get to fuck and sell them to clubs down south if we need to.

  7. Clay has suffered from that age old issue at Motherwell - if you don't play like Messi in your first game you are obviously useless.

We are going to see more guys like him next season because finances dictate at least some signings will be players who are about average, while we spend money elsewhere and try to develop the youngsters.

I think he's been OK and, as it turned out, better value for money than Pearson.

anybody that judged clay to be shite after his first game has been proven right, the guy is beyond useless,we should be looking to get rid in the summer but we might not find a club daft enough to take him off our hands.

  8.

    It's really, really not.

I'm sure that would have been the club's preferred option but as has been mentioned he wasn't the first choice, the club needed to appoint someone having been kb'd by their 1st choice and presumably were nervous about the idea of appointing Valakari (for obvious reasons) so it meant that Robinson had a bit of leverage. So I'd imagine that he's used that small amount of sway and the fact the club needed someone in place as the process has unexpectedly dragged out to get an extra 12 months on his deal.

It may be many things but mind-boggling isn't one of them.

if the club are letting a guy that had just been sacked by oldham dictate the terms of the deal, then our club is even more fucked that i thought.

  9. it's still mind boggling that we didn't just appoint robinson until the end of the season, see what happens and then go from there, giving him an 18 month deal was a joke of a decision.surely there has to be a clause that if we go down,we part company and it doesn't cost the club a penny, even if we somehow manage to stay up,robinson still needs too go.

  10. Defos agree with you i just feel the manager shouldnt be judged on mcghee's squad, we wont get anywhere if we just sack managers every season it'll only delay the inevitable

i agree the squad is a mess and mcghee needs to carry the can for that,he never fixed any of the problems within the squad that were blatantly obvious even last season, robinson looks to be out his depth as a manager, much the same as malpas was,if there was even some small positive's in the way we were playing that would offer a glimer of hope going forward i would say maybe we should keep robinson for next season and let him build his own team but there's hee haw,he's sticking with a formation that clearly isn't working,to be persisting with it just because tait isn't fit is a joke,it's killing us,get ferguson in at right back and get cadden in his right position and go 4-4-2 for the remainder of the season.i really thought robinson would have changed the formation for this game after losing to dundee but he never,if he goes with it again next week then its safe to say,if it isn't already then he really is clueless.

  11. we have been on a downward spiral since we appointed a clown in barraclough and let him run riot in the transfer market, mcghee went through the motions and never rectified any of the problems that were staring us all in the face from last season.bringing robinson back as a coach was one thing but to have giving him the manager's job was a joke.i just hope the decision maker's at the club are having a serious think about there own futures, and then decide to fuck off so we can start to rebuild for the future because were going nowhere with this current lot at the helm.the majority of the squad can piss off too,it's at the point now where im sick of the sight of them on a saturday....wage thieving chancing cunts.

  12. samson is utter shite,he's been a liability on a number of occassion's this season costing us time and time again, but having said that its criminal that mcghee thought it was acceptable to go with him and a 20 year old loanee as our goalkeeping options for the second half of the season.there is serious deficiencies in our team that were there for all to see even last season that have never been rectified and now we might just pay the ultimate penalty by being relegated, there has been some real fuck ups in the decision making behind the scenes and its about time questions were asked of the folk running the club.that performance today was a disgrace,we could have gone 5 clear of dundee with a win so to have played like we did, with no passion,no clue about what is was were trying to achieve over the 90 minutes,it really does look like were throwing on 11 players and hoping for the best.its been 2 weeks since our last game, what have we worked on in that time, there was no shape and as for our set pieces,it was the same thing over and over, again were hoping rather than trying to do anything positive.this formation were playing needs to go before its too late, the players dont look in any way comfortable, the formation were going with the wing backs should be the most important 2 in the team imo,but yet were persisting with players 2 wingers there who cant defend, dundee's 2 goals in the second half highlighted that.before kick off things were in our own hands and with home games coming up against county and killie,we were in a decent position and we blew it.3 points next week is a must,we as fans know it but after watching that today,do the players really grasp how serious things are.

  13. huge 3 points for us and all credit to the players because when it went 2-2,the heads could have dropped and we could easily have went onto lose the game but this sitting back and letting teams come onto us has to stop,we just dont look comfortable playing that way.it was great having moult back, having him and mcdonald together again should be a big boost for the run in.young campbell was oustanding,he should never have been taking out the team after his performance over at accies and after today he should be a stick on for our next game,he's impressed more in two games than clay has all season and pearson since hes returned.
