  1. samson is utter shite,he's been a liability on a number of occassion's this season costing us time and time again, but having said that its criminal that mcghee thought it was acceptable to go with him and a 20 year old loanee as our goalkeeping options for the second half of the season.there is serious deficiencies in our team that were there for all to see even last season that have never been rectified and now we might just pay the ultimate penalty by being relegated, there has been some real fuck ups in the decision making behind the scenes and its about time questions were asked of the folk running the club.that performance today was a disgrace,we could have gone 5 clear of dundee with a win so to have played like we did, with no passion,no clue about what is was were trying to achieve over the 90 minutes,it really does look like were throwing on 11 players and hoping for the best.its been 2 weeks since our last game, what have we worked on in that time, there was no shape and as for our set pieces,it was the same thing over and over, again were hoping rather than trying to do anything positive.this formation were playing needs to go before its too late, the players dont look in any way comfortable, the formation were going with the wing backs should be the most important 2 in the team imo,but yet were persisting with players 2 wingers there who cant defend, dundee's 2 goals in the second half highlighted that.before kick off things were in our own hands and with home games coming up against county and killie,we were in a decent position and we blew it.3 points next week is a must,we as fans know it but after watching that today,do the players really grasp how serious things are.

  2. huge 3 points for us and all credit to the players because when it went 2-2,the heads could have dropped and we could easily have went onto lose the game but this sitting back and letting teams come onto us has to stop,we just dont look comfortable playing that way.it was great having moult back, having him and mcdonald together again should be a big boost for the run in.young campbell was oustanding,he should never have been taking out the team after his performance over at accies and after today he should be a stick on for our next game,he's impressed more in two games than clay has all season and pearson since hes returned.

  3. mcghee left us in a mess, the bottom line is were shite with some very poor players and nothing is going to change that this season.i wasn't expecting robinson to come in and have us playing silky football but there's no need for the long ball shite we have been subjected too especially as we look to be a bit more solid at the back, the time is now to start having more of a go,aye were currently without some players that would allow robinson to robinson to shake things up a bit more but if were to have any chance of staying up he simply has to change the style of play, the first half today was embarrassing from a professional football team and during the week wasn't much better.right now we look like a team thats taking to the pitch in hope rather than go out there to win with any sort of game plan.we made it far to easy for accies with our long ball tactics,if we do the same next week against inverness, who have a bigger and stronger backline, then serious questions will need to be asked of robisnon and the players that continue to just pass the buck by lumping it up the park at every oppertunity.

  4. i thought the day we lost at firhill under barraclough was bad but that today especially in the first half was nothing short of embarrassing,i really have no clue what robinson is trying, there is just nothing in any department of our team.the second half was a slight improvement but due to our inability to put the ball in the net,the damage was done in the first half,it really is a joke that all it takes is the opposition to score one goal and were beat.some of our players are utter shite, blythe is a total waste of space and an ageing lasley is still a better player than clay will ever be,as for pearson since hes came back it looks like he doesn't even know what a football is.we really are in a mess and anything other than 3 points against inverness is unthinkable.i like to try and stay as positive as possible but its hard too after witnesses that today and the midweek performance against hamilton.

  5. Good post. The problem that Robinson has is that he's inherited a shockingly poor central midfield - no pace, no creativity and no bite. It hasn't helped of course that our best player there, McHugh, has either been injured or drafted to play into the defence. This isn't just McGhee's fault though - it goes back to the days of Stuart McCall. I'm generally not a fan of Cadden being played in central midfield but right now I'd stick him in there with Ainsworth on the right, Frear on the left and say Pearson in front of the defence. Not ideal I agree and that formation has its achilles heels. Even if we played with that formation for part of a game, the likes of Campbell might have a role to play in energising and toughening up the middle.

I know our strikers haven't been firing on all cylinders but for much of the time the ammunition they're being fed is very very poor at best.

good post mate,i think moving cadden into central midfield would be a gamble but we really need to shake things up a bit and were at the stage of the season where taking a risk might just be required.if we can get cadden running forward with the ball in middle of the park that could change the dynamic of how we play straight away because none of our midfield two are ball carriers, pearson should be doing it,but hes been very poor since he came back, also having cadden getting forward from a central area should stop mcdonald coming deep all the time to try and make things happen,we badly need his experience and quality higher up the pitch, especially in games like the other night when we had some relatively untried players in our forward line.you make a great point about campbell,he was excellent against accies at there place and how he hasnt been involved since is a complete mystery.

  6. punting long aimless balls like we did last night, just doesn't work for us,we need to start working the ball wide more often and trying to do things that way.frear has an excellent delivery and we know ainsworth can do it when he's on his game and for me he should be starting.we all know cadds has been struggling for a while, mainly down to an injury but what were asking him to do right now isnt helping, just get the ball and try charge forward and that tactic has been quickly sussed by our opponents,i would like to see cadds move inside and try and use his energy in the middle of the park and try and get something different out of him, which could be a benefit as there is nothing coming from our central midfield right now.were far to predictable right now and maybe robinson needs to change it up a little, hopefully getting one or two back from injury sooner rather than later will help too.

  7. bit of a strange appointment,i thought if we were going to go with robinson it would have been to the end of the season, see where we finish and then go from there.best of luck to him but im far from convinced hes the answer in the short term never mind going forward after that.

  8. i don't get the chat about robinson,he left for oldham and was quickly sacked within a few months,we bring him back to help out at a time when were really struggling,i can see why we did that as having a fairly experienced guy on the coaching staff between now and the end of the season cant be a bad thing.each to there own but i don't get why he should be in the running for the managers job,i wouldn't be against him staying on and working with someone else as he seems to be well thought of as a coach or number two but giving him the top job just doesn't sit well with me.

  9. Both parties have to agree to it

of course both parties have to agree but if were selling a player and we want a sell on clause as part of that deal thats upto us and if the buying club dont want that in the deal then they should be told to go elsewhere.sell on clauses could be vital to clubs like ours, just look at when murphy was sold to brighton and we made money then, that came at a time when we were really struggling financially and by all accounts that money was a real life saver for us.

  10. anytime we sell a player from now on we should always insist on a sell on clause as part of the deal as getting some unexpected money down the line would always be a huge bonus for us.hopefully we do have a sell on clause for marvin and he stars between now and the end of the season and we get a whack of money in the summer if hes sold.

  11. i can only go on the time i was there yesterday as i left when the fourth goal went in but from what i did see faddy was the only one shouting and trying to get instructions onto the players, with the current form were in mcghee should be glued to the touchline, trying to encourage and atleast show some sort of leadership but instead he goes into hiding, its no wonder skippy was looking across at the dugout yesterday as if to say what the fuck is happening here.

  12. mcghee shouldnt have a choice in this, the board need to take matters into there own hands and remove him before the weekends out,we badly need something to change because as things stand it looks like we have no chance of turning this around.
