  1. In that case they should raise a complaint about the referee's foul and abusive language. If Jennings gets suspended then surely the referee should suffer the same punishment?
  2. Shafted and accepted with a whimper again.
  3. It would be interesting to hear what was said from the referees point of view as to me the above quotes don't merit the referee giving a straight red. Especially when the card was followed up by a "get to fuck". If the club roll over and accept that sort of treatment without appealing the card or complaining about the referee then I doubt I'll be back any time soon. I can't justify paying good money to watch my team being cheated.
  4. All you're doing is showing how inconsistent the referee was. If you're saying rules are rules then that's fair enough but the referee can't then pick and choose when to apply them.
  5. I suppose it's just a coincidence that the referee only reacted to Jennings foul and abusive language when he was touched on the arm. It will be interesting to hear exactly what Jennings has said to make the referee almost tear his pocket off trying to get the card out. In a game where the majority of fans were dumbfounded by the referees performance I find it astonishing that any suspicion should fall on Jennings. If the referee wanted to send someone off he can't guarantee there's going to be a tackle worthy of a red or second yellow but by winding one of the teams up by giving strange decisions against them he can pretty much guarantee somebody's going to swear at him.
  6. In my opinion Aberdeen should be worried. No other team in the SPL would have lost 5-0 at Tynecastle. They're a poor team who don't look as if they have the guts for a relagation battle.
  7. The fact that he was in charge of a team that lost 9-0 suggests that Mark McGhee's not a particularly good manager. These type of scorelines shouldn't happen between teams in the same league. Especially when the opposition is managed by Neil Lennon! Also, while McGhee was at Motherwell John Boyle personally bankrolled the wages of Porter and Hughes which (as far as I'm aware) is more than he did for Malpas, Gannon or Brown so he may not have done so well without that.
  8. From what I'v read in the press Brown's story is that him and Knox don't have agents but they were contacted by an independant agent "touting for business" and asking him if he'd be interested in the Aberdeen post. I'm not sure what he claims his reply was but it ended with him meeting Miller and Milne "out of common courtesy" and carried on from there. As far as I'm concerned it doesn't matter how the meeting came about it's still blatant tapping.
  9. Where will the sheep shaggers get the money for that? I'm pretty sure McGhee will have max'd out their budget on his squad and they'll be stuck with most of them for the forseeable future.
  10. I like the digs at Brown and Knox as well as Aberdeen in that statement. Much better than Brown's "respect" for everybody he's ever clapped eyes on. Craig "The Phantom Letter Writer" Brown has shown himself to be the slimy wee rat that Alex Miller always suspected he was.
  11. I really hope he crashes and burns. In his wee blue 3 wheeler on the way up to Aberdeen.
  12. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure there will be plenty of Well fans singing his name at Pittodrie in the near future! Might not be too complimentary...
  13. They thought they were taking the piss out of us last time and they ended up even worse and more skint while we ended up in Europe again. Hopefully this will go the same way. I'm hopeful that Boyle will want to get it up Brown (not like that, he's a married man) and give the new manager a wee bit extra to spend on the squad. Brown did a decent job but for the first time in my life I started to find it all a bit boring. Now I can't wait for the next game!
  14. Whether he takes the job or not I don't want to see him back at Fir Park. He's done a decent job for us but he's making himself look like a total arse after yesterdays comments about wanting to stay closer to his family etc. Unless Aberdeen have come back to him to say they'll relocate to Ayrshire I can't see why he'd want to speak to them again.
  15. This is another example of the "everyone's against us" mentality that seems to be rife among the Celtic support. Who's going to sort them out? We're constantly being told (and I agree) that football is nothing to do with religion then you have this clown coming out with this. Every club in the SPL should tell them to GTF.
  16. It's really lucky that there's still the chance of a showpiece Old Firm final just when they're looking for a new sponsor for the tournament. The draw couldn't have worked out any better if it had been fixed. Lets hope we stuff Rangers and I'd take equal pleasure from beating Celtic or Aberdeen in the final.
  17. Saw him limping at the end as the teams came off and he didn't look to be running freely when he initially tried to play on so it looked more like a strain/sprain/pull than a head knock.
  18. Gutted by that tonight. They were there for the taking but we had nobody to bring on to change things. Pissed off by the referee allowing so much time between awarding the penalty and it actually being taken as there were a few Odense players getting Jamie's face and obviously mouthing off. In hindsight it would have been better if someone else had taken the penalty after that. Look forward to Odense getting pumped in the group stages.
  19. Without knowing the facts 1 incident in 3 away games in Europe this season is hardly anything to write home about. Unless they have been arrested for anything serious I can't see it meriting more than a sentence or 2 in the press if anything.
  20. I don't think the 3rd choice Everton keeper would provide much of a battle for Craig Gordon. Turner was a good prospect when he went to Everton but the fact that he's still there as third choice suggests he hasn't really progressed much.
  21. Particularly if you have been injured while at work.
  22. So to put it bluntly the Old Firm get the lions share of the money and their gate receipts remain largely unaffected as they're mostly shown away from home. The rest of the teams get a pittance and have to suffer reduced gate receipts for any game that's on live TV.
  23. Would they still qualify as out of contract SPL players now that Falkirk are First Division??
  24. Yes he would. Even on a poor day he was the best keeper we had last season by a fair margin.
