  1.

At the end of last season JB could have washed his hands of the club, put it up for sale and taken any offer he fancied. Instead he gave us this chance to turn the club into something unique.

I remain to be convinced that he wouldnt have done that had there been anyone willing to buy. It was no great secret he wanted out and had been inviting offers . Had Tommy Coakley came calling last year would he have been refused ? Nobody is interested in buying MFC and that IMO is why JB (eventually) decided on getting out this way.

Quite agree that its put up or shut up time for the fans , nobody else is going to put the money in.

  2.

I would hope that the club go after this indiidual, especially if the process was started as a result of a complaint by a journalist!

As far as ive read anyone , you or I included could instigate an investigation by giving Lunny "broadcast quality" footage of any incident you think deserves punished.

Sounds like he's being badly or certainly selectively advised.

If your reading Vinnie , is there a time bar ? If not what about that Hooper incident or have you been told to leave Celtic alone after they took on the SFA last season ?

  3. Scottish football is screwed! Higdon is banned for an innocuous gesture yet earlier this season Gary O'Connor gets away with a blatant dive even his assistand manager admitted to. The SFA are ruining the game. If this was not highlighted on Sportscene Higdons name would never have even been mentioned. As amateur a programme as you're likely to see.

Oh well, at least it will give the Higdon boo boys a day off - unless they turn on someone else!

Pathetic , Treacleteeth at Parkhead snarls, growls, boots water bottles about, invades the pitch and gestures his way through the game every week and a blind eye is turned,

Romanov is right , the Scottish game is bent.

  4. Why the 'for fuck sake?'

Didn't and most certainly don't condone any of the actions towards him, but, is he above the law likes? Big lad that he is, doubt he'd attempt similar with no support.

Indeed, the last time a Motherwell fan gave a keeper a clout down that end he was sentenced to 3 months.

And no matter what led up to it if Randolph went into the stand looking for the guy in question he was asking for a clout.

BTW "Abuse" ? Stevie Woods would've been delighted to be getting the abuse that Randolph gets !

  5. That we'll never know, but I think he probably would have. Like i mentioned earlier though theres much more to being a striker than just scoring goals. If we had sutton instead of higdon we would have won more corners and throw ins high up the park due to his high work rate and willingness to chase down balls that higdon wouldnt. Sutton was also great at winning free kicks which is important to us especially with hateleys delivery.

Higdon has proved himself to be a decent top six striker, but my biggest complaint about him is often we get decent balls in the box and 9 times out of 10 hes caught flat footed and its an easy clearance for the defender, whereas sutton would more often than not be bursting a gut to get across the defender to the near post - like he did for his goals at dens park, rugby park and tannadice last season.

    Really ??

  6.

I think it's about time we all just accepted that there are Motherwell fans out there who know the square root of fuck all when it comes to football, and have never been on a football pitch in their life.

I take it Jay is short for Jose then ? :whistling:

  7. I would award points based on the number of goals each team scores.

For example, if team A scores more goals than team B then I would award team A 3 points and team B 0 points. If team B scores more goals than team A, I would award team B 3 points and team A 0 points. If neither team scores or both teams score an equal number of goals I would award each team 1 point.

I don't know what FIFA would do though, maybe that shiny boots idea.

I'd explain the idea that a team can outperform their opponents and still be beaten 3 nil but I think you should concentrate on colouring between the lines or not eating your crayons first.

Aye that happens all the time the better team losing 3-0. :notworthy:

So youd award points on the basis of goals scored but dont think goals scored is an indicator of performance.

I think youve progressed on from buzzing crayons.

For what its worth , who cares about yesterday. I never even bothered going to the pub to watch it.

  8. When he was on form almost all of our creative play came through him.

Im not entering into this debate again it wasnt true at the time and it isnt true now.

Boils down to whether you believe he turned into a player for us after being shite everywhere else before and the same after he left. He certainly hasnt been missed thats for sure

Last post from me on the waste of skin , no way on gods earth McCall will use any of his budget on him , if he's bringing in an attacking player from down South it wont be one who has been such a total abject failure down there

Afforded superstar status on here solely because he can play a guitar by some who are impressed by that sort of thing , im sure of it.

  9. JoB back to the well..? re-tweeted a tweet saying he would love to be back at fir park with the boys!

I fucking bet he would , he was touted for a scotland call up by some of the loonies that populate our stands , the guy is fucking shite , always was and always will be.

If youre reading this Jim , dont even think about it.

  10.

Motherwell are a family club with it's own identity,

Serious question , I read this regularly . When did it happen and what does it mean , when i was a kid Fir Park was full of drunk men throwing stuff at each other inside and regularly knocking lumps out each other outside.

Theres folk greetin' their eyes out every single week on here giving it "wont someone please think of the children" over something or another , so where and when does it come from ?

  11. My mate, who is a Celtic fan, got 4 tickets yesterday. 3 for his kind and he's giving me the other one. Has been to Fir Park once in a decade(In the Celtic end)

Ideal , youll be able to supply the seat numbers then

  12. The years that any celtic fan observed a minutes silence without bursting into abusive shoite

Cant be that , 1999 was the year the loveable craicsters desecrated the Hillsborough minutes silence the day we played them at the piggery

(and as soon as they trace those responsible theyll be getting banned ...)

  13. Years that one of the OF have been beaten in a national cup final by a diddy club

Youd think it must be cup related as he says "if you believe in this sort of thing"

However I well remember watching Hearts blow up in 1986 in the league and Aberdeen horsing them a week later in the cup final. Rangers also won in it in their centenery year in '73 and it was 97 and 98 Killie and Hearts won it before the OF went on to dominate again from '99 onwards

Ban the chunt if he's got us all scratching our head on a wild goose chase

  14. I'll tell you what then, let's just accept an allocation that covers the real fans who show up "week in & week out", shall we?

It'll be the grannies & other family members who make up the bulk of our cup final crowd. When they pay their money for their ticket they are just as much a supporter on the day as you or me.

What I'm hoping is that we can retain even a small percentage of those who attend the final and see them at Fir Park a few times a season.

It's a national spectacle, and as such it will hopefully see the entire area embrace the occasion like they did in 1991.

Sure, most of the fans that go won't know Bill Dickie's shoe size or have a mention scrawled in the east stand toilets like yourself, being a real hardcore and all that, but their support will be crucial in making it a great day for all concerned.

Hardcore ? Hark at Wolfie Smith there with the molotov cocktail , bloody fist and face mask

You're preaching to the choir on the 50/50 split and with 25k tickets there would obviously be plenty of day trippers.

However folk that are turning up on the day for the first time in 20 years IMO are fuck all fans compared to those who spend the time and hard earned following the team up and down the country week in week out. I dont think that's elitist , theres plenty of elitism on here though. Uberfans on the big couch of a weekend at kick off time moaning about songs and smoke bombs and the likes. And sorry to burst the fantasy but becoming a moderator on here might give you a wee bump on the front of your trousers and something new to put on your next tweet to Tommy , it doesnt give you the right to be telling regular attenders like MJW to stay away from the final though :wank:
