There could be a variety of reasons for Gallagher’s loss of form but the absence of Hartley’s influence can’t be underestimated.

For all that he is comfortable on the ball

The fact that he is nowhere near as good a defender as some of the Motherwell fanboys thought he was cant be underestimated.

I've only just stopped laughing from when Weeyin tried to convince me he was similar to Alan Hansen

The last time we only took 2 points from our opening 5 games was season 83/84, the last time we were relegated.

Im not normally one for hysteria and certainly not at this early stage however that concerns me , doubly so  considering the soft fixture list we have had up until now.

Time is on our side but we may need to tie a striker loan into the Turnbull deal and i have everything crossed that wee Allan doesnt follow him out during this window

There’s a player in Long if you play to his strength ……… running the channels and putting the ball in behind

NOt firing the ball at him and hoping for the best

Its all about opinions , to me he's like a Scott McDonald, without the talent or the goals

Jordan White looks extremely lower league.

Scored a goal and won a penalty so far in his two cameos so has been effective to a point in the box , id be giving him a start ahead of the guy who he replaced today but as a disclosure i've never liked Long and wasnt pleased when he turned up again this season.

We've lost the plot up front since we sold Scott. Of course he blew hot and cold, but offered something we haven't been able to replace so far.

We were just as frustratingly impotent and lacking up front against Hibs when he played a few days before the window closed and it was obvious to all almost all that a focal point was required up there.

Each to their own, but I personally dont get the upset about the £25 entry fee. It isn't really much more than any other away fixture.

Yes, I disagree with the notion that they are charging us more when they should be trying to get as many bums on seats as possible for the derby.... but for comparison, we are charging away fans £24 for a category B fixture!! And £30 for a category A.

Is it the shitty pitch, the fact its accies, or the fact it's considered a category A fixture?

Not meaning to come across as condescending or anything - football is overpriced. But all things considered just not getting what the fuss is about.

Aye , its the shitty pitch and its my opinion that everyone else should be boycotting them Killie and Livi until they do the right thing and get rid of them.

Dont blame them for making us Cat A , we were filling the place and the young team were showing regular displays of over exhuberance , their security bill for our games mustve been on a par if not in excess of what they need for the Old Firm

You do realise that it's not a case of Hull City sending us the cash via PayPal family & friends, right? We'll likely get that money at some point over the next few months, or even in installments.

I dont imagine its a case of here take him and give us the cash in a few months when you have it either

The correct response to the manager saying we have no money is surely stop spending it on wingers to sit in the stand ?

From Steven Robinson   “His arrival will also allow us to move Mikael Ndjoli into his more natural position as a central striker, instead of playing in wide positions.”

“Mikael is quick, strong and gives us an option all across the forward line,”

and 4 career goals suggests he isnt the focal point i was hoping we would be going with for the second half of the season

    Fingers crossed though

    * 4 league goals , teach me to rely on Wikipedia

In my honest opinion we’ve got 1.5 million which keeps is excellent for us, for a 19 year old player who lets face it was good on his day and I like him but could be very frustrating and not exactly as good as your Turnbull or even Hasties granted they’re older. However selling him for that money and arguably signing someone better for 6 months is a cracking piece of business.

We need someone to score goals , the last game against Hibs where we dropped , in my opinion , 2 easy points due to the lack of a presence in the box evidenced that , getting rid of someone who seldom scores them , banking a right few quid and financing a striker to give us a fighting chance at a cup run and a rare European place i could've lived with . I cant have been the only one to give out a "FFS" when i saw we had signed another winger. Surely  we arent going to go with only Long for the rest of the season ? Im still hopeful we wont do that

As for folk complaining about only a million for Scott , doubtless the same chaps who expected Conor Ripley to be playing for England and Marvin Johnson to be crossing them in for Louis Moult  at Barcelona by now

First game of the season for me, and you’d have to go back to Mio or Buff for a centre half with Gallaghers composure.

I wish he'd shown some of it with at least one of those free headers he had at Livingston last week

Andy Robertson and Paul Lambert have the answer on how to make it at the top level in Europe. He could do worse than have a word with them before coming to a decision. Hull City was the best move Andy ever made as it gave him a platform to show Liverpool what he was all about. Dortmund was the best move that Lambert ever made and his European Cup medal is proof of that.

How much have Dortmund and Hull offered for Turnbull ?

I’m pretty sure we could have got the same or more from an English team

Surer than the folk who have been trying to drum up a buyer from down there for the past couple of months ? Maybe you should take the lead in selling James Scott , i seen £13m to Southampton with a sell on mooted further up the board
