Completely this. I would have no issue with voting for someone who didn't agree with me politically. The issue would be if they were racist etc like you said in an earlier post
-
Yeah. I would vote for someone whose politics were completely opposed to mine as long as they weren't a fascist. There's a line I would draw. I didn't actually vote for Derek as it happens - but I thought he would be re elected and he was. Like I said previously i am very left wing but I speak to people who have completely opposite views to mine. The point is Derek has put his views out there - other people haven't and I think he should have the right to. I think toy drives and food banks are political. People have been driven into poverty by Govt policies - me included Absolutely Im with you on the not giving a toss thing but if someone came out as being a Tommy fan boy - game over - not that I think anyone would. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with being working class and left wing - I am What is ridiculous about this is that anyone who looks at Dereks twitter can see hes got certain political views. I'd say Jay is the same - why is this only an issue now?
-
I voted for you and honestly I really hope a lot of consideration is given to how we can engage fans from the US.
-
I just need seats - make it happen Motherwell fc
-
Also - and this will be the hill I die on. Don't out people like this and plaster their socials all over a forum to try and turn other people against them . (it's horrible)

My political leanings are very left wing - however on social media I talk to many people who's views are completely opposed to mine. Not everyone is going to have their politics slap bang in the centre. If I were standing for the well society board which I wouldn't ever do I really would not want to have to dilute myself on my own social media because my views are a huge part of who I am. Would I vote for a well society board member who was very right wing? No. But other people might - the point is you only know someone's views when they express them There has to be an argument that people can post their own views on their own socials without it being linked to Motherwell football club - or you'll get to a point where people don't stand for election People shouldn't have to be apolitical to be a well society board member Also - if people really do think football and politics dont mix then why do our club and other clubs do toy drives and food bank collections? That all comes from politics - whether we like it or not.

Derek isn't a paid club member though. Cammy also retweeted something in support of Tommy Robinson. I assume that SPL clubs have rules around social media posts - I'd be surprised if the well society do. Otherwise you risk people being censured for posts they are posting on their own social media. (Maybe not explained that very well but I'd be very surprised if someone who was known for being political would stop tweeting about politics just because they are a well society board member)

It did say that. Jan with an opinion to extend to the end of the season
-
I believe it was because of damage that a group of one spl teams fans might do after they caused havoc at other grounds. Young Livi fans it was reported in the press
-
Yeah. Surprised that hes not been picked up already

I thought Tony made a big difference when he came on. I'm personally not sure about Wilson. Some fans think he's great and others think he needs another loan spell. He's done well given that he's been flung in as it were
-
Some people have said he can't play against the club who loaned him to us.
-
I've just texted my brother and said I hope he signs.
-
It's actually v nice. Only small issue is that there's no seating apart from a couple of tables and stools - and that's only an issue for me just now because of circumstances.
-
Absolutely
-
Pretty much expected to see Watt on the bench today.
-
Apparently can play up front too
-
New signing just announced Tawanda Maswanhise
-
That was a terrible comment and someone really should say sorry for that because Tony was told Kettlewell said it
-
Yeah. It's a trauma bond where people suffering from things like domestic violence or being kidnapped have positive thoughts about their abusers to try and cope with their situation.

When I saw it on pie and bov yesterday I was like god no but you know what - we need someone that can score goals (obviously) and if he does the job that's fine by me. I wasn't happy with the way he Ieft either but I'm happier than I thought I would be to see him back.
-
Thanks to Iona and Amber for answering my questions. Much appreciated. Sally too. The sound was a bit poor but not their fault - was on my phone and would probably have been better from my laptop.
-
Tony Watt? According to someone on pie and bov who said they had "sources"

I completely agree. And you know when someone has an injury such as a leg break and ACL tear I don't think that's someone being injury prone. It's a freak injury. I've seen people online slag off the manager for injuries that happened on the pitch. Also agree that Nicolson is bad luck. He played 16 games since he was signed. I hope he recovers and kicks on. His name is Callachan. Other folk have been spelling it wrongly 😏
