  1. I know nothing about Danny Baker, however, maybe we should invite him up to Fir Park to watch a game.
  2. Funny that is one of the things that I remember from that day as well.
  3. Did the SPFL give a reason as to why were they even allowed to do it?
  4. We are sitting clear in third spot and defeat to Celtic will not effect our push for second, lets just go for it.
  5. Another easy 3 points. 2-0 to the good guys... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLTHW0ZwK7U
  6. I certainly don’t feel that confident when he is in goal. I pray that Hollis is back sooner than later.
  7. I am always thinking on ways in which we could adapt our signature hoop/band. Over the years a few teams have experimented with the use of tartan in their kit (Dundee took it to extreme in 1953 on their tour of South Africa top). This made me curious on how a Well shirt might look with some claret tartan on the hoop and collar. If applied in a subtle way it has the potential to look quite classy (in my own mock up the tartan is still a little on the heavy side) however, it still gives an indication as to how it might look. The use of tartan (no matter how subtle) can be too crazy or radical for some, however, I reckon there is potential to produce a Motherwell tartan inspired Euro top for when we next represent SPFL in the Europa Cup. The shirt would also look good just purely as fan leisure wear, although, having a slightly bolder approach to your kit design can sometimes pay dividends.
  8. Those old enough will remember the classic Likely Lads episode when they try and avoid the score of an England game as they are planning to watch the game ‘as live’ later. Classic stuff. I will be switching off my computer, phone and any other device to avoid hearing the score to be able to watch the game ‘as live’ at 5.30. Mon the Well!
  9. That’s the chance you take, sometimes it’s better just to have the memories. I have never met Wullie or Bobby, however I did meet Joe Wark in the mid 70s and he was a gentleman.
  10. When I was younger and had more disposable income I attended all to the games home and away. A ticket + travel to an away game is now money that my family don't have. I don't know if you are married or have kids or even have a mortgage to pay but when that happens you need to make savings where ever you can. Football is so far down my list that I am lucky to still have my season ticket. Anyway that is the reason that I will be watching the delayed kick off on Alba.
  11. Same here, I will watch the full game on Alba at 5.30 with hopefully no knowledge of the score.
  12. I am lead to believe he has been offered a deal at Alloa.
  13. You need to start posting on the Hearts fan forums as they could be doing with some of your positivity.
  14. I also spoke to a Hearts supporting mate and he has similar fears. I know in football that anything can happen, however, as the weeks go on Hearts are becoming weaker and weaker. If we can’t at least put 3 past them tomorrow I will be surprised. The guys that are turning out for them are barely out of nappies.
  15. The latest from Gary Locke and his ongoing problems on trying to field a team. He says... There is a good chance that whoever meets Hearts at the end of the season could be playing Tynecastle Secondary under 16s.
  16. I would ‘leave’ him out. I’ll get my coat...
  17. Historically we have only ever attracted an average of about 5000-5,500 to our home games. This is partly due to how near distance wise we are to both the Old Firm teams. In the future I don’t expect this figure to change significantly, in fact we may start to see a slight drop, as people are choose to spend their disposable income in different ways.
  18. That Scottish Cup exit has set us back quite a bit and you could still hear the anguish in McCalls voice when he spoke about it. The fact that we will have no income apart from the pay at the gate fans until the end of the season is not good news. Even Hearts have a cup semi to look forward to.
  19. According to the official site... Longest winning sequence 12 (1968) Without a loss 30 (1933)
  20. By looking up any of the football stat sites (soccerbase, statto.com ect) you should be able to check this.
  21. Dundee United are masters at that and I have never quite understood how we don’t employ similar tactics.
  22. Not a bad idea, ‘Flow are you listening?
  23. Pretty much spot on, it all depends on whether they desperately require a defender or are prepared to wait and sign him on a pre-contract for nothing. I suspect due to our finance draining cup exits we would even accept £50k.
  24. He also stated that he thinks that we will finish second again this year. Not bad for a wee club fae North Lanarkshire.
