These scarves belonged to my dad, so I am not 100% certain how old they are. The one on the left is the oldest and he wore it to games in the early 60s. We should start a memorabilia thread where people can post up images of rare MFC stuff they have collected over the years.

Unfortunately the badges are faded on the one on the left although you can still make out the shield and the fir tree.

I am sure that I have the scarf you are talking about. I also have a another old 60s/70s scarf with a different monogram on it.

Everton have also modernised/simplified their crest. A few clubs have gone down this route in recent times and like any business it’s good to bring your corporate identity up to date. I have always wanted to have a go at tweaking our club badge, and if I get around to it I will post the result on this thread.

No shock there, I also expect Humphrey to join him and Law at Sevco.

I would expect McCall will ask Kenny to join him if he gets the gig.

And getting dismantled a year or two later. It's all good fun and stops me from getting bored of qualifying for this Europe nonsense year in year out. Waiting for a new manager to be announced is always exciting, and just like the successor to Alex Ferguson he will have big boots to fill. Bring it on!

There was of course a touch of sarcasm in my post regarding the compensation for Rosler. The £130,000 pound sweetener for losing McCall will be swallowed up by the new bosses wages. Is it enough money to attract a good manager? Only time will tell.

Brentford have a £500,000 compensation clause, so I am afraid he is out of our league.

I can’t blame him, however he could have earned just as much by moving to Sheffield Utd and have the satisfaction of playing for a manager he knows well. He would also be playing in a better quality league against better quality players.

£130,000 is a poor return for a manager who led a team to second in the SPL behind Celtic. Why do we always appear to get shafted when it comes to compensation? Any rumours to who will be taking over at the ark?

I understand the reasons why McCall would leave, however it’s a pity as I genuinely believe another SPL team could potentially challenge Celtic for next seasons title. With Celtic likely to be involved in another heavy euro schedule and Rangers out of the equation, I firmly believe the title could go to the wire. This would require a team to stay injury and suspension free for most of the season, however given a bit of luck along the way a team could emulate the great 80s Dundee United team and lift the title. How good would that look on a managers CV?

I suspect that will be the case. I hope it is sooner rather than later, as we need to get a manager in place asap.
