To be fair on Finlay I understood what he was getting at when he made the comment about the previous game. I honestly don’t think he was having a go at McCall’s managerial skills. What was just an innocent charity game proposal has resulted in handbags. At the end of the day we are all Motherwell fans and we shouldn’t read too much into comments made on this forum. Anyway, back to this Charity “piss up” match.

I would settle for that, if he leaves for a bigger club so be it. Our managers are no different from our players, if they are successful they usually move on. Until then I hope he brings success to Motherwell.

To be fair to Gordon Young he never asked to be put in this position. And would probably be the first in line to admit that he hasn’t got what it takes to be a SPL manager. He most likely didn’t have the option to say, “No I’m not doing it.” Or maybe he should have just let ‘Flow take charge! Now that would have been interesting!

A better second half, just glad we now have a manager in place and Gordon Young can go back to what he does best.

McCall would not have been my first choice but I obviously wish him all the best. No doubt the Dons will be watching his progress with interest.
