As he has sent his CV to the club you would like to think his name was at least mentioned as a potential replacement for Craig Brown. Money may be a problem as I’m not sure what compensation Bohemians would be due if he left. He is held in high regard in Ireland and the mere fact Dundee United pursued him would suggest he has probably got what it takes to manage an SPL side.

There was a direct quote from Fenlon about his interest in the Motherwell job. Not to say that we ever acted upon it though.

I’m sure the interviews would have been held at Hamilton Portfolio in Glasgow. A lot easier to sneak/interview a potential candidate there than Fir Park. If the press where really concerned then this would have been the place to be.

I’m afraid we paid for that advert. In newspaper terms who Motherwell appoint as there next manager is not big news. It only becomes big news if we appoint Paul Gasgoine (god forbid).

If he can work with what we have at the moment, I don’t see a problem in appointing Fenlon. If he requires a transfer kitty we can politely move on to the next candidate.

Do any older posters remember some Motherwell players being involved in match fixing allegations in the 50s? My Uncle used to bring this up when ever football gambling was mentioned.

There will be the usual Boxing Day pre-match conference. If anything else is announced, it will just be a bonus.

I would be surprised if this information is correct. We will be extremely lucky to attract a crowd above 8,500 - 9000 for this game.

In an ideal world the local council would promote all things Motherwell Football Club. Unfortunately we are a business and the town won’t want to be seen to show bias to one business over another. Any flags, advertising of games would need to be paid for by the club. That would cost money, money we sadly don’t have. The idea of a sea of claret & amber throughout the town centre is a complete non starter. Unless of course we win the cup!

Is this the worst away end ever? This is the away end at Miejski Klub Sportowy Znicz Pruszków in Poland. Imagine playing them in the Europa Cup!
