  1. Hi Folks

an error has been highlighted on our website that the event on the 6th feb is an old firm quiz, this is NOT the case, it is a question of sport quiz to mirror the tv show and we have a fantastic company in putting this together on the big screens in the function room of the holiday inn. Our web guy is now rectifying his error.

This will now be changed on the site to " a question of sport night", so i am hoping to see plenty of well fans there on the night showing there support.

for tickets please call 01355 521325

    cheers guys

  2. Just beat me to it.

I am one of the adventurous and slightly off my head people undertaking this trek. The trek was discussed by many in the group as an appropriate way of marking phil's passing and doing somthing in his memory for him to be proud of.

We set out to make this a charity trek with hopes of raising money for The British Heart Foundation. In a short space of time with the full backing of The British Heart Foundation, Irn Bru, The scottish Sun, Mfc, and Celtic Football Club, the challenge has quickly gathered pace and it is our hope now to raise £100,000 in Phil's memory. so far we have raised approx £12,000

You may have seen the launch recently in The scottish sun, it is by no means an easy challenge and one in which has us all slighty worried as there is an enormous amount of training to be done in undertaking the challenge. The 12 of the trekkers have also been working tirelessly on various fundraising events such as a Question of Sport night at the Holiday Inn East Kilbride on the 6th Feb, £20 per ticket includes pies and pakora etc where we will have two celebrity football personality teams competing against 20 other tables. The idea of this night is to provide us all with a typical inexpensive lads night where we can all get together and show off our sporting knowledge in the hope of beating our celeb teams to the top prize. We have a number of confirmed celeb team members including Stevie Craigan so its a great chance for all football fans to have a laugh with friends and raise money for a fantastic cause in honour of phil.

The second event we have planned is a dinner dance at The Thistle hotel on the 13th March, ticket prices are £75.00, with celebrity hosts and entertainment, further details on both these events I will update on this post, however if anyone would like more information or would like to attend any of these events please send me a PM.

We are also seeking any forms of sponsorship and donations of raffle and auction prizes for both events, its a huge challenge but one made easier with the support of the Motherwell and Celtic Communities.

Thank you in advance guys for all your support from all of us taking part in the trek

  3. referee was a total useless c**t that was the most bizarre red card ive ever seen but the goals we gave away were criminal :tumbleweed:

apparently the ref said that jenno called him a f$%^&ng cheat!

he didnt it was another player on the park.

    ref was a joke!

  4. saturday will see a return to supporting a team that features neither scott brown's ripped coupon on the park or a clueless manager who's ambition seems to be take walter smith's anti football crown off him. i cannot fucking wait!

with europe being over for us for another year and most of the players having had a wee break this is almost like a new start for us when we can get properly focused on the task at hand in the spl. st johnston will be desperate to get their first win so hopefully we can frustrate them a bit and come away with a sneaky win. i've no idea what brown will do with the team , i can't see him playing two out and attackers on the wing and i expect that if gow does well humphrey will be back on the bench but mcdiarmid park is massive and suited to humphrey and he's had two good games there before.

does anyone know if hammell will be fit?

    -------------randloph

    page craigan reynolds hammell

    ---lasley-- jennings-- hateley

    humphrey----------------- murphy

hammell will be fit to play

    --------------sutton

prediction: 2 nil to the well (murphy, blackman)

i think i'm going to go up to perth on the train for the first time on saturday, are there any decent pubs around? maybe even a sports bar as there's 3 games on at luchtime.

  5. What frustrated me was the fact we kept crossing the ball into the box for the strikers with only Sutton a real in air threat.

I'd rather we kept in on the deck and play more directly with Murphy and Humphrey.

Humphrey would certainly benefit from keeping it on the deck and running at people or if the likes of Sutton/Blackman etc played balls through the channel which would allow him to out pace the wingback and run in on goal.

    Spot on mate spot on!
