  1. Anybody booked the Motherwell Times offer? It seems too good to be true!

Anyone arriving on the 2am flight on Tuesday Morning thats staying in the Novus City Hotel or close by that facies sharing a taxi. There are 2 of us so any additional people would reduce the cost. If anyone is interested, send me a pm. Cheers
  3. Jenno must be desperate if he is going on trial. Surprised he has agreed to a trial at a League One club.

The current subscription for the Well Lotto is £4.33 per month.

This. As it stands, the club seem to have forgotten all about the Well Lotto. It isn't mentioned in the new campaign and the last update of winners was mid June! It only costs roughly £5 per month and you might find that the majority of people would be willing and could afford to subscribe to this as it is relatively little. Say 2000 people subscribe, thats £10k per month or £120k per year, subtracting the winnings which currently stand at £350 per week so thats £18200 per year, meaning nearly £100k to the coffers every year. Really think the club should push the Well lotto, rather than completely forget about it as currently happens.
  6. Why not sell Randolph/Murphy/Law/Hutchinson for a tidy wee sum and that would cover us?
  7. Did we not play Rapid Bucharest a few years back in a pre-season friendly in Austria (under McGhee I think)? Seem to also remember one of our players picked up a bad injury in that match after a heavy challenge but at the same time, I might be talking balls.
  8. Might have missed this but are we getting information packs and voting slips sent through the post or by e-mail? Any ideas how we will lodge our vote?
  9. I seem to recall Rangers fans throwing bananas at Mark Walters when he signed!!!
  10. Met his wife in Motherwell, so I'm sure that was a plus in his time spent at Fir Park!
  11. Absolutely no point in Motherwell commenting on what might or might not happen. Best to wait until we see what happens with Rangers before making a statement.
  12. Hopefully Jennings signs a new deal. Jenno should look at Paul Lambert for what could happen if he plays well against a big European team. 2 outstanding games against Dortmund and his career soared from there.
  13. Out of all the players out of contract, I wouldn't mind trying to get Hayes, Tansey and Andy Kirk. A lot of other players, e.g. Dixon, Mark Wilson, Skacel etc, would be outwith our pay structure and looking for moves to the Championship/Premiership.
  14. Aye, think he has been taking lessons from Butch Harmon on that front!!! Perfect example of a guy who made the most out of his limited ability with sheer hardwork and desire. 100% effort and passion in every match, no matter what the occassion!. Sensible, intelligent guy off the park too, hence the reason he is doing so well in the media now. Will always be remembered by Motherwell fans for his cup semi-final goals, but outwith MFC, will always be remembered as the guy who kept Rooney/Owen quiet in the Norn's 1-0 win over England and as the guy who retired Raul from international fitba! Craggs = legend for both Motherwell FC and Northern Ireland.
  15. How come Dean Shiels isn't in that team if he was in the top 4 shortlisted for PFA Player of the Year? Lasley and Jenno kicked the f*ck out of too many people to be in there, however, at least 1 of them should be.
  16. mwellhighland......had the same problem with the Craigan interview last night.
  17. Has he been called up to take on Usain Bolt in the Olympics?
  18. Hopefully Jenno decides to stay at the club who have Champions League football next season!!
  19. Yep, it looked to me (sitting in the Cooper) that Brines had pointed to the spot as well then changed his mind (maybe after a word in his ear from the east stand linesman?). You could quite clearly hear the contact between Randolph's boot and Aluko's shin guard. It was an absolute stonewall penalty but Aluko did make a meal of it. In saying that, what goes around comes around, after Aluko's pathetic dive against Dunfermline which got them a penalty earlier in the season.
  20. Could always move the POD season ticket holders into either Davie Cooper or East Stand, then charge Rangers fans £50 per ticket to sit in the POD and give each POD season ticket holder a reimbursement of £10-£20 due to inconvenience!!! Argument being that view is better in the POD than any other stand so we could get away with charging them more!!!
  21. Hopefully we'll clap Killie onto the park, i.e. guard of honour, for their achievement on Sunday which was tremendous for every fan outwith the mhankies. Us wee diddy teams have to stick together against the bigot brothers from Glasgow. Central defence is Hutch and Clancy, no thought required.
  22. Fyvie suggested to the referee that Hutchy used his elbow on Jack when they collided, when it was clear, it was just a hard but fair challenge. Fyvie tried to get Hutchy sent off, so I don't know if that led to Lasley crunching him.
  23. Official stats are Celtic had 12 shots, 7 on target....we had 2 shots, 1 on target. The point is Celtic had a couple of more clear-cut opportunities to score than us, however, I think most people would agree that there wasn't a great deal in the match....in fact, it was pretty boring. Roll on East End Park next week.
  24. Didn't think there was much in the game as not much happened, pretty boring match. Celtic had a couple of shots, we had 1 shot, but ultimately a lack of concentration cost us the game. Celtic didn't exactly pepper our goal with shots, albeit, they've really nothing to play for now. As others have said, we knocked the ball about well until we reached the final 3rd, where it broke down time after time. Best just to write this match off and get back to winning ways at East End Park next week. Oh aye and one other thing....Thai Tims....WTF?!!!!

    Celtic

Eh? Was at fault for the goal by completely misjudging a ball in the air! He did have a decent enough game but ultimately cost the goal. Keith Lasley by a mile for me. Covered every blade of grass, broke up play numerous times and drove us forward (albeit then it would break down!). Must be in with a shout of winning SPL player of the year as this has been his best ever season. In saying that, Charlie Mulgrew will likely win it!!!!
