If these quotes are true, I think Brown and Knox are offski. I take it by a "very pleasant appeal" he means they were offered more money. In fact (again if true), by even reconsidering his position less than 24 hours after releasing a statement saying he was staying at Fir Park, is his position at Fir Park now untenable?

Could someone explain to me what this "potential" is that Aberdeen are supposed to have? The way I see it is they have no money and have a sh1t squad minus Hartley and Maguire, so where is the "potential"? Do they have an all conquering U19s or something?

Should serve as a warning to Motherwell to get them onto some sort of contract rather than losing them for nothing in the future. If they were willing to even meet with Aberdeen, there is obviously a part of them willing to consider alternative employment.

According to the Aberdeen fans forum, Brown and Knox have turned the offer down. Hopefully that is the case, but we'll see.

Cannae see auld Craigie venturing outside when the weather is like that! He'll be putting his feet up, slippers on, watching the Chimps league with a cup of cocoa.
-
This is very worrying indeed, however, Henrik Larsson is also quoted at 16/1! I'm amazed he's even quoted! So it could be a lot of p1sh!

If you phone up, you can pay for them then collect at a suitable time.

Accies have been using the indoor pitch this week

Does anyone else think it a bit strange that the groundstaff were in at 3am, a full 11 hours prior to kick-off?
-
The 3 Scottish Cup replays and Morton v Falkirk were planned to go ahead as well, making 11 matches in total. Who knows who will lose out now unless they manage to find replacements.
-
Its on the bbc as well regarding the withdrawal of the Polish officials. Cue the same from the other countries meaning no games this weekend.
-
Get your services volunteered and you might ref our match on Sunday! £800 for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon!
-
Spot on. This strike (withdrawal of labour) should just affect Celtic, not everyone else. And I also agree that any games which do take place should be the SFL matches since the problem has arisen in the SPL. I just don't get what the refs hope to achieve out of this. They aren't going to get a letter from Celtic saying that they are all honest when the fact of the matter is they aren't. Maybe they just want the letter to say that on the pitch they are honest, but off the pitch, they can't hope to get that.
-
I'd be very surprised any foreign refs make the trip over to ensure our games in the SPL go ahead, but here's hoping.
-
This is getting more ludicrous by the minute! No harm to Saunders as I think he is an excellent prospect and is better than Kenneth and Steven Chuckle, but he shouldn't be anywhere near the senior squad right now.
-
Steven f*cking Caldwell.....one of the Chuckle brothers!!! I really hope he plays Caldwell and Kenneth in the centre of defence against the Faroes so we can get pumped and get this Jambo twat out!

The decision is even worse when you see the tv pictures. It should be as simple a decision as a linesman has to make but yet again, they make a rip-roaring c*nt of it.

I don't think Craven will have seen the lie as an attempt to protect him! In the week after the match, Craven received alleged death threats and harassment of his family causing him to resign earlier than he had planned (well, that was part of the reason). He got this hassle because McDonald claimed the linesman told him it wasn't a penalty, when really what happened was the linesman told the ref that he was in a better position at the edge of the box to make the decision. If McDonald had any f*cking balls he'd have admitted he made an initial mistake then changed his mind, meaning the responsibility was on his shoulders....not Craven's.
-
Why did he not just admit to making a mistake and changing his mind immediately after the game? He'd have got a lot of respect for doing that given it was ultimately the correct decision. He should have taken some f*cking responsibility rather than squirm his way out of it and hang his linesman out to dry! The guy should never referee at the top level again in my opinion as his integrity and reputation are in tatters. In saying that, it's unbelievable that he has been given a SPL match so soon after the event rather than being demoted for a few months to SFL Division 2 and Division 3.

Get in! Great 3 points!

It was a shocking attempt to win the ball and wee Gollum deemed it fair and proceeded to allow United to take the throw-in. Does anyone else think that Gollum denied United a stonewall penalty in the first half when Scott Robertson was impeded? In the Cooper, it looked a stick on penalty to me!

It'll be interesting to hear the ideas about league reconstruction and the timings of summer football. Personally, I enjoy the Christmas and New Year period we have currently and I don't really think the winter period causes many problems in our country (granted last season was a bit of an exception). In addition, during the summer, we'd have to deal with the loss of gate money over the school holidays amongst other things, however, I'm sure they'll consider this when it comes to making a decision. In my opinion, all we have to do currently is change the relegation/promotion criteria to 3 up and 3 down. That way, after the split, all the teams in the bottom 6 will likely be in a relegation battle, therefore creating more meaningful matches.

Hopefully the White Pele gets well soon!

Apart from Randolph immediately prior to the goal!
