Sky Sports have just announced that SPL clubs have agreed a £65 million deal until the end of 2110/2111 season with a two year option afterwards.
Fuck me! A 102 year deal. They've definitely done us over there. Death to Sky and ESPN!!!

Isn't it the case that under UEFA rules the away team has to be in the country a minimum of 24 hours before kick-off?
Yeah , that's what I thought. One of the International teams were complaining last year because the Scotland Under 21's got delayed heading over for a game and missed the 23 hour deadline. They wanted the game replayed as Scotland still beat them. I think it might even have been the Albanian under 21's they were playing.
I'd be surprised ifwe haven't arranged to be there at some point tonight or early tomorrow.

Who else could the captaincy go to?
The only real stand-out candidates I can think of are Crags, Lasley or Hammell. After that it's all down to the young guys, unless Gannon goes for another Quinn type appointment to try and give a boost to one of the younger guys like Reynolds.
Perhaps he also thinks giving it to Sutton or Jennings might work, but with Jennings just in the door I'd be surprised to see that happen.

It's been reported in a few rags today that Hughes has knocked back a £7,000 a week deal from Norwich. According to his agent a few Championship teams are set to make him an offer.

I was on the pitch today. It looked amazing. It realy was lookin so much better than it has looked in years, probably. All the hard work looks like it'll be paying off.
The groundsmen weren't happy though as a fox had been running about digging holes in the pitch. They had a mallet waiting for it in the home dug-out incase they managed to get a hold of it.

I went down today for a look at the top when I went to get my season ticket.
It was the first time I'd seen it properly and I was hugely disappointed. Was looking forward to seeing it for the first time as I love the design of it and ws impressed with the whole Canterbury deal and the launch campaign.
Like many have pointed out it looks like a fake because every detail is printed on the top and he quality of the material looks awful.
Really feels like Canterbury aren't that bothered about us and left us as an afterthought.
I hope they are as keen on checking this site as they were when the mock-ups were posted, because you have really destroyed what would have been a cracking top and made it look cheap. I'll be keeping my £40. Your tap's shite.

you get 90 grand for each qualifying round you play in. so if we get by the welsh team that's £180K guaranteed. obviously we've got to pay for hiring the shyberry and trips to wales and albania but hopefully our home gate money (£50-60 thousand?) would cover that.
Fifa cover the travel costs, so we only really need the gate money to cover hiring the Shyberry or whatever it's called nowadays.

I'm not entirely sure why we seem to be attracting bigger names for the job than, say, Falkirk. Big names not always a guarantee of success, but there are experienced managers and coaches applying for our job. From the very outset, it seemed clear that the Falkirk job was either going to May, Pressley, McNamara or McCann. Oh, and Alex Rae threw his name into the ring. Do people in football know something? Is money more tight at Falkirk than it is at Fir Park...?
I had wondered about that myself.
I would imagine that McGhee's profile being raised so quickly with his succes here and being heavily linked with the Scotland job after 6 months has played a part. I would have thought that that could have helped out the other SPL clubs too.
Perhaps our links to the likes to McFadden, McCormack, McDonald and possibly even Davies or McLeish have helped build or profile a little more than we would have thought.
