  1. Has Dorman actually done anything this season? Totally forgot about him until someone mentioned him in this thread. I reckon there only main threat is McGinn.

If we win tomorrow I'll be biting my nails until Tuesday night thinking (and expecting) that we ain't gonna win both. But under Gannon we have a solid defence which hasn't leaked many goals (plus kept a few clean sheets), plus not conceding late at Celtic with all the late pressure, we've not let in sloppy goals which is very unlike the Motherwell of the last few years. This for me I reckon we can win both - its a new era. An era where we ain't going to see the same fralties we have always had haunting us, time and time again.

    2-0 'Well. Forbes & Humphrey.

    Mon the 'Well

I think Chick Young said on the radio a few weeks ago that Dorman had been crap so far this season and had been dropped. Though I think he was back last week and scored.

  2. Dargo is out injured.

He's scored in their last 2 games.

EDIT: Quick spy at their site shows Dargo hasn't missed a league game, started the last 5 games and came on as sub in the other 3. Only game he has missed was as an unused sub against Ayr in the cup.

Mehmet though has scored 8 already this season. 5 in the League Cup v East Stirling and 1 v Ayr. He's got 2 league goals, 1 against Falkirk last week and a penalty against St Johnstone

  3. Definitely not beyond us to get 2 wins out of this.

Though I'd gladly take a point on Saturday and a win on Tuesday.

As long as they don't beat us on Saturday, as that will put them above us in the league, even though it'd only be for a week.

I have a feeling that Tuesday's game will be decided either in extra time or penalties...or maybe even in 90 minutes.

  4. I can't believe people are genuinely worried about this and looking for an official response.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to learn Gannon has a clause allowing him to talk to English teams. After all didn't Sheepmeh have one? I would reckon though it's probabl more something allowing him to talk to Championship and Premiership teams rather than any Englidh team.

Always hated this ugly bastard as well. Ray Montgomerie

Never had an opinion on him until he joined us. Hate the fucker. His brother was at it when he made this signing.

  6. Is it not Gerry Britton when he was at Thistle who we're thinking of? Or was he just hated everywhere?

Speaking of Thistle, I'll chuck in their fans. What a smug, holier than thou, morale high ground grabbing shower of shite they were/are.

I think Gerry Britton is a given.

It was Isaac English, cheers Frazzle.

Not sure why I hated them. Must have been an angry kid.

  7. Even before he came anywhere near us, and destroyed us, I always thought he was a wank.

Always hated Ivo Den Bieman for some reason. I think he's the greasy one on the left. (Was it not him that smashed McMillan's cheekbone with a shocking tackle in front of the East Stand one game, and was then taken out with a waist high tackle by Simo?)

There is one more from Partick I used to despise, thought it might have been Hamish French again, but it's not. Was from around the early/mid 90's.

  8. Think he was going out with my mates big sister for a while, he still playing at East Stirling?

Don't think so man. I think he left them at some point during last season and moved to Glenafton in the juniors.

Haven't seen him for a while now so not sure if that's still the case.

  9. Forgot as well tht Joe Savage was 2 years above me. Played for Hamilton, Stenny, East Fife and East Stirling twice. Had a few trials at Hibs and Leicester too. He was at East Stirling a couple of season back when they played Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup and The Sun had him do one of their diaries for the week in the build up to the game.

When Joe was at Hamilton they tried to sign our entire Jerviston team. They were 2nd Division at h time and our bosses knocked them back. About 3 months later was when their players went on strike and they were relegated to the 3rd Division, and released just about all their players.

  10. John Kennedy was 2 years above me in school.

Was a guy in his year Steven Pinkowski who was a keeper on the books at Celtic before moving onto Partick. Don't know where he is now. His little brother David was also signed to Celtic and featured quite regularly in the Celtic View at the time. He was released too though and last I heard was with Wishaw.

Also played in a tournament don't near Morecombe(I think). In our section was a team from Edinburgh who we were told had the best young keeper in Scotland at the time, and I tried to lob from 40 yards. Anyway, IIRC,it turned out it was Craig Gordon.

  11. it comes across as more of an ego trip, making the team sit down and watch his greatest moment on dvd.

add that to jimgannnon.co.uk, the fact that's he's in love with a 4-5-1 that doesn't suit the players we have, him constantly going on about winning fair play prizes and passing football without ever acknowledging that that's what we've been doing for the past couple of years and his determination to play the youngest team possible (most likely to enhance his reputation as someone who develops young players) and i think we could be dealing with someone who is as much of an egomaniac if not more so than mcghee.

i've been at 8 of the 9 games so far and it's been on the whole very positive the guy isn't the messiah and there are still some question marks around him.
