  1. Thank you for giving me such a laugh to compare booing a football player to domestic violence and child abuse truly shows you're level of maturity and intelligence :P

You clearly don't know me, and I've not a clue who you are either, so don't bother coming on here and try to make out that you know anything about me, my maturity or my intelligence from one daft comment. Some might argue that your inabilty to construct a proper sentence is a sign of your intelligence. Just keep your judgements to yourself next time.

For what its worth I wasn't comparing the two, just trying to make a point, albeit not that well.

Back on topic, you would think we were back watching a McLeish team full of awful players, playing awful football , producing awful results with some of the negativity at times. With the rare exception, anyone who finds the need to constantly boo and harass our own team clearly base their perception on how Motherwell should be playing on Football Manager or from watching La Liga.

  2. Get a grip.

I'm sorry if I was making a total tit of myself in my work somebody (ie the person who is paying my wages) would be on my case, football is no different, my boss wouldn't just shut up about it and hope things got better from a distance. C'mon man get real here.

Lets look at this relatively here for a second. The average wage for a motherwell player must be say around £1000 per week give or take a couple of hundred. How many people do you know who get paid that kind of money a year? £52k is a high pressure job for any other person, football should be no different, whether that means pressure from a manager because you aint earning it, opposition fans beacuse their are rivals in every walk of life, or your own fans because they are ploughing in money and seeing less of a result than they expect, the same as in any job.

Would your boss stand behind you then pointing yelling "BOOOOOOOO" and "Your fuckin' shite, get out".

No, he would take you aside and talk to you in private, like a man. Now I am sure that McGhee is more than capable of doing this when someone isn't playing well. Having morons in the stand getting on your case isn't goin to help. Look at Fitz before, he was beat before he walked onto the park most of the time because he knew what was coming, no matter what.

Seriously, what good is giving abuse to you own players for 90 minutes going to do?

Why not stay in give the wife or kids a tenner and slap them about a bit? Your a fiver up already and you still get whatever is frustrating you out your system.

It wouldn't surprise me if any hope we had of keeping Hughes all but vanished last week after he felt the need to have to stand up for Fitz.

  3. What he said.

This isn't the first time he has made comments about the support. Our money is what is paying his wages to a large extent, people have got every right to moan about whatever they want if they are paying their earned cash.

And quite frankly his comments about a 4-3-3 are a bit of an insult to the intelligence.

But what's the point in paying your £15 if all your going to do is bitch and moan and get on our own players backs. Then people complain when we are having a go at the opposition, but we can boo and hassle our own players all we want because we paid our money. What a load of total bullshit.

Pay your money and get behind the team for 90 minutes. Otherwise whats the point in being a 'supporter'? If the team or a player is having a howler surely a bit of encouragement might give them a lift. If you'd rather boo then why not just try shutting the fuck up for a change and say fuck all. That way you aren't seen to be a happy clappy fan, your not getting the players backs up because as the last week has shown they do take notice of what is said.

  4. Semih took German nationality so he could get his move to England because he couldn't get a work permit otherwise. He has said he isn't sure who to play for as he was born in Germany but he has also played for the Turkish teams and wants to represent his family. It was in one of his interviews last week.

I don't exactly agree with that either, but he hasn't turned his back on anyone yet. Just used the rules to get round red tape blocking his move.

  5. I reckon he would get a move easily. He gets a hard tome for his kicking and not commanding his area, though his kicking has improved greatly this season. And I think that the current generation of goalkeepers all seem to be solid shot stoppers but are not so good at commanding their area and dealing with crosses.

It's only really the older goalies who stand out with all 3 skills, Van Der Sar. I'd be strugling to name another now that Kahn has retired. Cech, actually, thats about it.

Even the big teams are struggling wih this, Kahn's replacement Rensing is woeful, Casillas, Valdez, Reina, the list is endless. All world class shot stoppers ut don't ask them to deal with crosses.

  6. It wasn't much more than a year ago where we were in a situation that fans were saying they would never boo a player again and would look to give the team their full backing while at the game. I don't doubt some fans have done so. But it seems like we are back to where we started and we are having the same boring conversation brought up every week about someone, mostly Fitz. Like most have said its mostly idiots who have a shite job, an ugly wife who doesn't give them any and ugly children who bring their frustration to the game, or are just easily lead by a small crowd. Some folk need to get a fuckin' life.

  7. The home support was embarrassing yesterday. The 'Well fans that weren't there need to have a word with themselves and get down and support the team in these games.

Or maybe you could have a word with managers at 'Well fans work to demand they be let away to beef up our home crowds a bit.

  8. I missed the game today but from what I've seen over our undefeated run, I'd say Fitzpatrick has been an important part in that and has played consistantly well. Like many others have said he might not be a 'showy' player or the most gifted player in the World but he will always give 100% and it's long overdue for people to get off his back just because he's there.

  9. Cant remember the year either, but it was the last game of the season vs. St Johnstone, and the last game before the last terracing was demolished. They had to win by 2 to stay up, but only managed a 1-0 win awhich sent them down and got us into Europe. Crazy celebrations and possibly the quickest pitch invasion I have ever seen.

I was only about 8 or 9 an was highly confused as to way everyone was celebrating like fuck after a 1-0 defeat.

  10. Sheridan always seems a willing runner and hard worker.

I think his problem is the fact he is so gangly looking that he seems a bit awkward on the ball and when he's running. Really good to have as cover at least.

  11. Well done big fella - £2.50 aint bad for a nights work!

A bit off topic but they were talking about all the transfers bets today on SSN, and they mentioned someone had bet 5p that Kev Keegan would be the next Portsmouh manager. Whats the point?
