  1. At least 20 fuckin' minutes too late to start making changes, as per fucking usual.

Buzz went walk abouts for that first goal, didn't do the defense any favours, though Reynolds should have dealt with it.

Thank fuck I never paid a fiver for this today.

  2. Does anyone happen to know any bars in Dublin who would be showing the game tomorrow?

I know a few posters spend a fair bit or time travelling and working over there, just wonder if anyone has sussed out anywhere that shows our games.

  3. Aye, but is it a band or is it a hoop?

I kinda thought that myself. But I reckon it must be a hoop seen as our strips have had the band on them recently, so it can hardly be back.

  4. Would possibly be a little out of our reach so I would doubt it's true though it would be a great signing if it is. If stories are to be believed Wenger was interested in him the year Derby were in the Premiership after being impressed with him when Arsenal beat them 6-0. . I doubt that one was true either.

With him and O'Brien on either wing it would be the first time in years we will have had 2 real wingers in the side.

It would hopefully also help get Sutton back to top form as it would suit his style of play more to play up with Clarkie and having 2 creative attacking wingers supplying them.

  5. Did you guys know we (Scotland) are the only place in the world that has to watch thier national team on pay per view! Disgusting!

    Fixed.

As well as that, we must be the only country who gets to watch other countrys national teams for free on national TV.

  6. A wee bit about the big man today in the Sunday Mail.

MAROS KLIMPL fears he'll never play for his country again after being give the runaround by Wales striker Craig Bellamy.

The Slovakian suffered a nightmare in Trnava as Bellamy netted twice and forced an own goal during a 5-2 Euro Championship qualifying romp in September 2007.

Despite a change of manager Motherwell stopper Klimpl has been snubbed by his country since.

And he'll be a frustrated spectator as the Slovaks, who lead World Cup qualifying Group Three, take on two massive tests in the next fortnight.

On Saturday they travel to Wembley for a glamour friendly against England.

And four days later Klimpl will be at home in Scotland desperately trying to find internet footage of the qualifying crunch against bitter rivals the Czech Republic.

Maros, who has 19 caps, said: "It would be great to play England but the Czech game is even bigger, a derby, and becomes more crucial because we're leading the group.

"We have never beaten them since gaining independence so it will be a massive match.

"But I don't know what my chances are of ever getting a recall because my last international was 18 months ago. It was against Wales and I didn't play well.

"When you lose 5-2 and you are a defender it isn't great. It was only one bad game but at international level all it takes is one mistake.

"There was a big reaction and they changed the manager so now Vladimir Weiss is in charge. I hope he comes to Scotland to look at me."

Klimpl is focusing solely on Motherwell for now - and wants to make his loan move from Danish club Midtjylland permanent.

He said: "I have an agreement to leave Denmark for free in summer and Motherwell will get first option."

Sounding quite encouraging. I just hope our own tight fistedness doesn't cost us, by not stumping up for his wages.

  7. Can we not sign him permanently just now because we already have him on loan.

I know Beckham's AC Milan deal didn't have to be made permanent/extended before the January deadline as he was already on a loan deal.

I'm sure the same sort of thing happened for Tim Howard on loan at Everton, then signing permanently in March or something like that.

  8. This is from memory (which may well have failed me), but I thought when Tam Cowan was interviewing Crags the other week, he said that the club didn't operate a flat wage structure now and that some players did earn more than others.

I could be wrong. I usually am.

Yeah. Thats what I got from that as well. He said they applied the flat wage structure when Butcher was in charge but stopped ot for McGhee coming in tho attract players like Porter, Hughes and Hammell back to the club

  9. Dundee United are actually the team that are falling away a bit. Four defeats in 2009.

I saw quite a surprising stat over the weekend that United haven't beaten a team outwith the bottom 3 since November. They could be the ones to miss out if they don't arrest that dip in form soon. Although if anyone is to help them out and keep them in the top 6 it'll be Hibs.

  10. Rather stick with Uncle Phil's signature if we're having on the back along with our second sponsor tbh.

I second this. I would much prefer to have Phil's signature stitched in above the players names than a saltire.

I would hope this is something that the team and the guys at Provan sports can arrange with Canterbury and whoever comes after.

  11. I'd imagine Mega Bar isn't available for hire on a Friday or Saturday night, to let all the knob ends of Motherwell and surrounding areas get tanked up on those nights.

It's a great idea but would be much better on a Friday or Saturday, and why not in the centenary suite?

  12. I hope Brian McLean can keep fit as I noticed him limping on a couple of occasions.

I probably wouldn't be too worried about that.

I remember when Larsson came back from his bad leg break that he said he had been injurd so long that he had started to walk naturally with a limp, and it was picked up on his first few games back.

I'd imagine it's just the same case with McLean.

Great to have the big man back. Hope he can get a run in the team now and get back to his form at the end of last season.

  13. Yeah, McGhee said in an interview through the week that he had seen the new designs. Didnt sy anything about them other than he was impressed and thought the fans would like them.

But then he has to say that.

  14. Are the stewards/police not willing to make accomodations for the weather when it comes to the sitting/standing issue? It'll be less of a problem in the coming weeks but the last few months it has been freezing and it's totally reasonable, I'd say, to allow people to stand up and try to heat up a bit, which is near impossible to do if your just left sitting all day.

  15. Good news.

But yet again another strip that we only get a year out of. How many is that now, 3 of the last 4?

We're getting worse than Man U.

And if I'm right in thinking the JAXX deal was for 2 years then it'll be another new kit the year after as well.

But anyway, good deal for the club. I quite like their Portsmouth tops so will be good to see what they come up with. As long as they get the hoop on it.

  16. McLeish - Not Bad. Although we finished 3rd under McLeish, I basically think he took McLean's team and screwed it up. Good showings against Dortmund earned him kudos, but will never forgive him for leaving us for relegated Hibs.

This is perhaps the only part I'd disagree with. I was delighted when he left. I would like to thank Hibs for taking him off our hands when they did, although I wish they, or anyone, could have done it a lot sooner.

Even my Mum hated him because she was sick of my Dad, Uncle and Me coming back form games complaining about him. And she hadn't a clue who he was. Even now when he comes up on SSN or something she wants to smash his face in.

How many managers could finish 2nd and take Motherwell to Europe and still be as hated as this copper bawed ring piece.?

  17. Haha. I'm not bitter at all. Thought he was shite for a long time before last night and nothing has changed that today.

We were shite last night, thats that. Move on and look to Sunday.

He did score the goal that put us out, well spotted, he's still shite though.

Edit: Plenty of shite players have scored against us in the past and Mehmet wont be the last one.

  18. I hope when he talked about the possibility of moving of Dalziel he was just getting mixed up, because he was also talking about training facilities. A move up this way would be a disaster. No train station for miles and its a fair bit away from the main roads for any bus route. Not a decent boozer within reasonable distance either. Could just about kill us off.

  19. I hate Billy Mehmet. He is a terrible player. One of the worst in the league.

As for his goal tally for this season, 4 of the 10 were against Dumbarton in the cup when they won 8-0 of whatever. Hardly prolific.

As for that God awful celebration - what the fuck is he trying to do?
