I would put Bowman in the NIcky Law catagory. I don't think he is good enough quality wise if we want to be challenging for a Top 6 position but I don't think you can fault the guy for effort or work rate. He's at the club and if he gets a chance that's all you can really ask.

Average league attendance is down about 400 this season on last season but still up on the Barraclough season. 2014/15 - 4,286 2015/16 - 4,843 2016/17 - 4,477 The single biggest factor is away fans in my opinion. This season we have been hampered by only having 2 OF home matches in the league and some poor scheduling - Aberdeen on 23rd of December was one of our lowest attendances of the season.

Honestly I think we should extend this to U18s. What 16 - 18 year olds are earning? They are all still at school or going to college/uni. As for concessions at 60 instead of 65......a nice wee gesture for long time supporters surely? Why chisel people for more money that have put their whole lives into the club? My big concern is that we do a lot to attract younger supporters and then they get to the stage where at 16 17, 18, 19 there is a huge price increase in going to the football and I reckon we lose a lot of people who don't make the step up. The sensible thing to do is to have graded tickets - school age, student, working age etc. Right now it doesn't quite connect together, there is no overall strategy.

Didn't say he was pish. I just said that when people talk about Ruddy round here there are some rose coloured glasses coming out. My point was really - all goalkeepers make mistakes. Some get a pass, others don't.

Ruddy was over rated here. Had a very good first loan spell but his second loan spell had made quite a few mistakes. The whole Samson furore has raddled peoples minds so much that they think other goalkeepers at this level are somehow flawless. The guy at the other end on Saturday, Scott Bain, has been getting similar stick all season from Dundee fans. Did you see Ryan Esson on Friday? Jamie MacDonald has been dropped by Kilmarnock. Fon Williams has not exactly been convincing. Probably the best goalkeeper in the bottom 6 is Scott Fox, who's impressed me over the past couple of seasons, but I always felt he was pretty dodgy in his Thistle days. And do you remember Cammy Bell conceding THAT goal in the play off? Cammy Bell is better than anyone we will get.

Don't know but he did seem to go off with a knock and he was holding his leg like it was injured. Didn't look like something you just brush off but I'm not a physio and I was 70 yards away.

McDonald is out that is a big blow. No one else even comes close in our squad in terms of making things happen.

I gave Campbell MotM last week but I thought this week he had a very minimal influence on the game. Should still get a run in the team and I don't expect consistency from young players but I'm not seeing it.

Ross County are not out of it yet. They have a terrible away record (2 wins from last 16) and 3 of their remaining 4 matches are away from home. If they lose away to us and Dundee it will be a serious test of bottle.

Even if we go into the play offs I think we should be beating anyone we face. The wheels have well and truly come off Morton (no wins in 7), Dundee Utd are garbage and this seasons Falkirk team is significantly poorer than last years team who were quite comfortably put to the sword by Kilmarnock in the play off.

Referees get £850 per top flight match. That's more than a lot of the players will be earning. The standard is absolutely deplorable and yet these guys are coining it in for what is essentially a part time gig.

It wasn't purely down to the goalkeeping error. Dundee player had time and space in our half, no one near him or even trying to get close to him, to put a ball into a danger area. Samson has his faults but all season we have defended terribly. Don't get close to anyone, completely disorganised, can't even play in straight lines. Who can forget that utter shambles a few weeks ago with Jules and Heneghan at Partick Thistle with the exasperated McHugh trying to get them to play in a basic defensive formation. Truth is most goalkeepers at our level are good for 4, 5, 6 mistakes per season but our middle to back defending is responsible for far more of the 64 goals we've conceded. Goal 1 was a mistake. Goal 2 and Goal 3 are absolute school team stuff.

We've failed to score in 6 out of 13 league matches since the winter break while keeping 1 clean sheet.

Maybe we can't afford ball players because of the decline in attendances?

No doubt Samson will be getting pelters tonight while it's completely ignored that all three goals came from our right hand side where Dundee were given almost freedom of the entire wing. Cadden hopeless at defending from right back. Heneghan is just atrocious. Needs binned.

The goals we've lost on this match are awful even by this seasons standards.

Absolutely atrocious defending.

Totally undeserved lead for Dundee, been on top for whole half. We've lacked cutting edge up front though and the final ball has been poor. Just missing an intensity and even though we were on top there was a distinct whiff of 'Don't lose' rather than a real commitment to win. Game still winnable Dundee have been very poor.

If you had McHugh along side someone decent at the back I think he could do a really good job there. He spends a lot of his time trying to herd ducks in the form of Heneghan and Jules though.

Mio joined us in 92/93 I think, pretty sure McLean was still in place at that point but might be wrong. The header at Easter Road is still one of my great football memories.

I'll say that the player has been mentioned in the thread but it's not Denny Johnstone.

I'm confident provided we can get through the first 10 minutes without scoring a 20 yard backwards header OG.
