Pleased to see the Leitch deal done, hopefully he develops into playing a pivotal role over the next 2 years. Can't see Boyd coming here either but he'd be a fantastic addition. Much more than a goalscorer these days and seemingly a good influence off the park.

Even if Ainsworth signs, I hope there is a few quid to cover an alternative attacking option in the absence of McFadden and Moore. Unless of course, Erwin and/or Thomas are ready to make the step up.

Not seen much of McNaughton in the last year or so but up until then he was one of Cardiff's most impressive performers. I can't see him bring available though after Solskjaer gave him a contract extension a few months ago.

Who would be willing to pay a development fee for him though? Do we therefore not offer him a contract as the likelihood is he would accept it and maybe McCall doesn't think he's worth it? Potentially a similar situation to Hateley where we couldn't afford to offer him a contract despite being eligible for a development fee. I'll be pleased if we get Leitch on a 2 year deal and sort out the Thomas situation.

Man City are reportedly offering Sagna £150k a week. Wonder what McCalls deadline is for contract offers. Thought Lasley would have been signed up by now.

Aye Butcher couldn't see the quality in Lasley. Used to do my head in to see him shunted to the right. Not that Butcher will be at Easter Road for much longer.

If there is any chance of Sam Stanton leaving Hibs on a free, I hope we make enquiries. He's got a fair bit of talent from what I've seen.

Think he's still got a year on his £15k a week contract.

If we maintain the same budget there should be a little room for manoeuvre, particularly if we manage to move on the likes of Cummins, McHugh and Lawson. Should have a clearer idea in the next week or so when we find out which of the young ones have signed up.

Deserved contract for Reid. His versatility will hopefully serve us well but unless Murray is ready to step up, I think we will need a replacement for Hutchinson.

His back is goosed. Shame really as he was a really good prospect at Livingston. He was superb in his first 6 months at Hibs but then the injuries took their toll again. No sure he ever recovered from the night Higdon owned him.

Well chuffed with Twardzik joining. Obviously far from the finish article given his limited first team opportunities at Dundee but he looked confident and composed at the turn of the year. Signing a young talent with plenty of potential fits well with Derek Weir's framework. Early days but it looks like we are going to be better prepared for Europe this year.

I'm surprised Hasselbaink hasn't had more of an impact at St Johnstone. Would certainly take him based on his St Mirren form. McCall was keen on him at that point in time.

Delighted to see Hammell sign up for a further two years. I'd welcome the return of Jim O'Brien. Him and Ainsworth down the wings would be quite a prospect. Focus however has to be bringing in a couple of players that have plenty of scope to be developed and sold on.

Refreshing realism from the Board. Hopefully we are further down the road towards alternative investment than the statement lets on.
