  1. Aye Inverness have got all their top players signed up. Don't know how they manage it. Shinnie would be a great option for us too while McCall has always been a fan of Tansey.
  2. Sounds like a gem of a goal from Vigurs. McCall sounding more determined than ever.
  3. 60 points. Brilliant. Bold comments from McCall pre-match and the players have responded. Cheering on Hearts tomorrow.
  4. The prospect of Kerr and Reid bombing up and down the right wing gives me a sore head.
  5. Kerr could barely run yesterday. If we've not got youngster in the squad that would do better at right mid then we are in bother.
  6. 6 points vital this week to keep Dundee United at arms length. I expect we'll tighten up a wee bit In midfield given out last 3 performances. No excuses for being 'leggy' on Tuesday given that this will be Inverness' 8th game in just over 3 weeks.
  7. Interesting comments through the week regarding contract negotiations. I appreciate the delicacy of our finances but surely with top 6 secured, servants such as Hammell, Hutchinson and Lasley should have offers on the table along with any kid that we rate.
  8. I obviously wanted us to go for the 3 points but given the Eremenko effort moments beforehand it was very naive. Ironic that we are caught out down that side with two right backs on the pitch. Agree that Slater looks a player. Alan Johnston has had a fair amount of stick but I enjoyed watching his team in the 2nd half. Boyd and Eremenko bossed proceedings while Irvine was a nuisance throughout, allowing the young ones to have a right good go at us.
  9. Of course, McInnes well on track for it. McNamara still has an outside shout depending on how the next few weeks go for United. McCall deserves huge credit for getting the very best out of his squad since the cup low.
  10. Two kids score for Killie while we bring on Fraser Kerr rather than Thomas or Erwin. Evident today why Craig Reid was released from Morton. Schoolboy stuff.
  11. Vigurs was one of the few looking to win the game. McCall switching his position so often in the 2nd half didn't do us any favours.
  12. That's been coming to be fair. Can't keep grinding out results with average performances, particularly when you're missing the workrate of Carswell and quality of McFadden. Deserved 3 points for Killie, albeit Sutton missed 2 great chances. They overran our midfield in the 2nd half. Poor tactical awareness from Reid to throw away a point.
  13. It's a fair shout, really caught the eye in his 20 mins last week. Just think Aniers presence is more likely to unsettle a poor Killie defence. Either of them are good options off the bench due to their pace and movement.
  14. Good to see Erwin back in the squad, he got badly injured at an unfortunate time. Hopefully Anier is raring to go and we don't have to unnecessarily risk McFadden. Not seen much of Kilmarnock this season but with Eremenko, Boyd and a couple of decent youngsters, they obviously carry a decent threat going forward. Given that United are up at Pittodrie. 3 points would be massive. Let's hope we can keep our excellent home form going.
  15. Man United aren't going to make the Europa League. Taking 4,000 to Goodison would be braw though.
  16. Days after saying he wouldn't comment on players under contract, Ally McCoist has confirmed his interest in Gavin Gunning.
  17. Cummins doesn't get off the bench for Dundee. McHugh starting for QoS but it's the boy Reilly that scores the goals for them. If McManus stays, we should be looking to develop a young centre half alongside him. Reid has done very well but I doubt he's more than stop gap material. I would like to see a new fullback in the summer, someone that can bomb up and down the wing all day. If we are going to build our team around Vigurs we need players running off him and hitting the bye line.
  18. As long as we get Celtic at home for the necessary income I'm not overly fussed. Celtic and St Johnstone hopefully get the raw end of the deal given that they have nothing to play for. Our Dundee Utd and Aberdeen game will prob be a shite times to suit the tv.
  19. Hutchinson and Vigurs the best 2 players on the park. Vigurs just edges it for his ability on the ball. Looking fitter and fitter.
  20. We done well to break through early in the 2nd half. Up until then Adams' tactics were spot on, recognising our lack of pace in behind. We should have cruised home once we were 2-0 up but returned to our pre Christmas performances by nervously hanging on. Hutchinson and Vigurs impressed throughout, Moore offered plenty of movement upon his arrival. Neilson back to his usual shaky self.
  21. I always thought that was the case until we sold Murphy for £100k in Jan 13. Surely we'd have got more than that in compensation at the end of the season, when he was still 23?
  22. We wouldn't be due anything for Hutchinson, he's too old. St Mirren will be due a fair amount in compensation for McLean.
  23. That would be a sickener. If he's watched recent matches involving Law and Murphy though, he'll know down South is the better option. Shame Tansey signed an 18 month contract upon his return to Inverness. Impressed last night and McCall clearly still rates him after being snubbed in 2012.
  24. Solid performances from Hutch, McManus and Hammell. Hammell motm for that wee bit of quality going forward.
  25. Been a while since we've had a snoozefest at Fir Park but the 3 points was all that mattered. Need to step it up a few gears on Saturday as Ross County will have a far bigger appetite for the game than Inverness. Slightly disappointed not to see a couple of kids in the last 20mins but McCall was understandably intent on shoring things up.
