Is Boyd back for this?
Glad to see the back of Kenny Shiels as he had the measure of us at Fir Park.
While Killie have had a tough start to their season, we'll need to up our performance from Saturday to get 3 points. A 1-1 wouldn't surprise me.
Aye, it was sad to watch Faddy flounder at the end but iirc that was his 1st 90 mins and contrary to what folk say, he did his fair share of tracking back.
I thought he had a good 20 mins or so at the beginning of the 2nd half. He must be moved centrally asap so that he can start to pull the strings and be able to turn in two directions.
He wasn't happy playing left mid in the Premiership while earning £30k a week so I doubt he's overjoyed at being hung out to dry on the right wing at Motherwell.
Anier looked done in after chasing down the 4 Thistle defenders while Sutton sauntered about the centre circle.
Think it was right to bring him off but I fear for Kerr that he is going to become a bit of a scapegoat if he continues to come on to cover the right wing in favour of an attack minded player.
Today was the most I've noticed Ramsden in a game but didn't come away thinking he was motm.
Poor game but welcome 3 points.
Not much to get excited about on 1st half but thought we made a promising start to the 2nd half as Faddy seemed to have license to move central and got himself in a couple of goal scoring chances. Lasley should have sewn the game up after Anier put it on a plate.
Last half hour was pretty concerning. Not sure if the game changed due to Carswell, Higgy, poor fitness or nerves.
Hopefully see a signing or two this week to provide some much needed creativity.
So McGeough isn't coming because he wants to play right midfield rather than right wing.
Three other deals for English based players have fell through due to finances or cold feet about moving north.
Have said previously that I'd like us to sign McGeough despite the drawbacks of the loan system.
Not convinced he is the out and out winger McCall goes on about though.
Glad to hear that Erwin is seemingly catching the eye. Hopefully he and/or Moore get an opportunity to play alongside a fit McFadden in the not too distant future.
Seems bits and bobs of Ritchie Jones since he was a kid at Man United.
Steady enough pro that could do a job on the right but not the type of player that McCall said he was looking for.
Scott MacDonald may have a bit of arrogance about him but he worked his balls off to achieve what he did.
Unless Watt is well managed, he'll disappear within a few years.
Wonder if we still have a winger on trial? Mind we nearly signed the Belgian boy at one point last season.
He's got the Celtic crest on the back window of his motor. Not for me.
As I've said before though, McGeough appears to be a much more grounded guy and I think he could maybe do a job for us.
To be fair, outwiith his Bradford connections, we've never really raided the English leagues under McCall..
Consequently, we have no additions to the squad that are capable of generating a transfer fee.
McCall is not one for throwing kids into the team.
Would be nice to see Moore and Erwin get a sniff but the majority of the kids don't look like they are anywhere near ready physically to make the step up.
