  1. JJ may well look at bringing in one or two kids in from his previous club.
  2. Just on loan? He was apparently a huge disappointment during his spell at Carlisle but as I said previously, I'd welcome the signing based on his memorable motm performance v Celtic.
  3. I doubt Porter could command a higher wage that what we offered Stevenson so he may well fit into our structure. Priority though has to be replacing Jennings, unless Higdon is on his way...
  4. For those there, what formation were we playing exactly? Hateley in front of a back 3 of Kerr, Ramsden and Hammell?
  5. I'm gutted looking at those pictures. I hope the move is what he wants. I look forward to seeing him in the dark blue one day.
  6. Fighting talk from McCall post match, suggesting that Murphy should have had 2nd pen but you don't get 2 at Parkhead. Fine tribute from McCall to Murphy too. Sounds like our finest product for a decade signed off with an excellent performance. All the best Jamie...
  7. Sore one judging by the radio commentary. We'd have probably had managed a point if we hadn't been awarded a penalty. While ultimately bottling it at least we made a fight of it for a change. Strange that Higdon didn't feature at all.
  8. We're fucking pish at pens. Keep the heid Motherwell.
  9. Hopefully Dempster won't fuck it up this time.
  10. Good luck to him with the rest of his career. I was never convinced by him but I thought he was a good sort to have around the squad. Given our frailties I'd have been tempted to use him a fair bit this season.
  11. On the brink Hertz agree £500k deal for Ryan McGowan. Contract expires at the end of the season.
  12. Murphy wasn't the best candidate as we would be entitked to compensation. Best candidates were Law and Randolph. I appreciate that there isn't much we can do if offers don't come in but if the suggestion that Law is signing a pre-contract is Sheff United is true then we have been well and truly stitched up. Agreeing a deal on Dec 31st for a guy that has scored a hatful of goals in recent weeks, underlines how desperate we are. Poor management from the current regime yet again.
  13. Absolute buttons for a proven goalscorer that has been with the club for over 10 years. Hope it works out for Murphy but believe he should have been aiming a bit higher than Sheffield United. If Ojamma isn't on a half decent money as has been suggested, I'd hope that Dempster would offer him a new contract using some of the money freed up by Murphy's departure.
  14. Baffles me that Murphy would sign for a League 1 club just now rather than keep his options open. Particularly when he knocked back Blackpool last season.
  15. Maybe McCall is heading there too...
  16. Having lost my gran on Thursday I'm not sure if I'll make the game today. Indeed, the O'Donnell tribute might just be a wee but too much for me. Do us all proud today Motherwell.
  17. I recall him being outstanding in a semi final against Celtic.
  18. Yeah, good to hear McCall making some positive noises on the transfer front. As for O'Dea, he'd be an ideal signing but I suspect that if he is training with us, it's probably down to the Stewart Kerr connection as much as anything.

Add another zero onto Ojamma's asking price. He's been having a very good season imo but today he was simply unplayable and a joy to watch.
  20. Good to see a switch in formation today to help shore up the defence. Shame that Ramsden appears to have picked up a knock again. The most frustrating aspect this season has been that in spite of our defensive woes, when we got for the throat we are capable of murdering just about any team in the league. Great to see it come off today. Hopefully Ojamaa's performance erases the notion that £200k is an acceptable offer. Outstanding talent.

    Ojamaa

Take a bow Henrik, unplayable today.
  22. Been a while since we've had a good festive period iirc but I'm looking forward to this one. Hopefully revenge is in the air. 4-2 would do nicely.
  23. Gordon isn't wanting to play just now. Turned down decent offers due to his own doubts about his injuries.
  24. Wembley was the best game in his career. Had all the ability in the world but he didn't have the determination or mentality to improve himself down south or abroad like Lambert, Collins and McAllister. Yes he's had a very good career but his h*n mentality held him back from being a class act. Far from a role model IMO and I'd be very disappointed to see him at FP.
