  1. From what I've seen in recent weeks, Sibbald has fallen away somewhat while Alston offers little. Although, the end of a season isn't always the best time to judge a player. Vaulks and Leahy would be good signings for provincial premiership sides but agree they'll be looking for bigger moves.
  2. Is the latest Rangers statement for real? Absolute heads gone. http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/club-statement-60/ Brilliant.
  3. The elephant in the room is with both invasions, Rangers were the opposition. Many people hate these bigoted bastards and with good reason. Things got out of hand but I understand that while thousands of Hibs fans entered the pitch in a state of unprecedented euphoria, a few took the opportunity to get it up them. Rangers fans failing to accept defeat with dignity is why it really kicked off.
  4. I work with guys who keep spreadsheets of the food in their fridge. This isn't nerdy in the slightest. Good stats. Hopefully the league cup throws up a rare trip.
  5. There will be major repercussions. In the meantime the establishment will use it to deflect from a piss poor Rangers team. Just like they did a year ago.
  6. The level of player coming to Scotland is a relative low in my 25 years of watching football. While the increasing financial gulf is a an almost impossible hinderence to overcome, any improvement to the Scottish profile can only be a positive IMO.
  7. If we want to be self sustainable then we have to welcome any move that raises the profile of Scottish football. Brendan Rodgers is a terrific appointment that should eventually result in a better standard of player fancying a move to Scotland.
  8. While the money might still be flying in, I think the general appeal of the CL is in significant decline. Pretty sure the viewing figures will back that up.
  9. Aye the reports on Chalmers from Falkirk were poor. Seemed strange to me that we rushed into a signing a boy that trained with us in run-up to Rangers games. I can mind coming away from the Bradford friendly at Grangemouth with 2 thoughts. Moult had potential to be quality with a bit of experience alongside him. Chalmers looked like a fish out of water.
  10. Do we know yet if the league cup groups are regionalised?
  11. Goals galore. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7o7TXnlFHgQ
  12. Think the Faddy one baffles most, particularly when McGhee is talking about a squad of 20 and every penny being accounted for. McGhee must be convinced he still has a lot to offer with the right fitness regime.
  13. Robbie would be a loss, like the look of him in u20s. Scott is in charge of youth recruitment aye?
  14. So no surprise releases from the u20s? Interesting to see what Craig Moore does. I gather that he's enjoyed his time at Ayr but listening to McCall yesterday, he wants Ayr to stay part time.
  15. He's since tweeted to say it was a typo, meant to say 'first' year. Not surprised to see Leitch go but hopefully he gets something sorted out. Needs a run of games at a lower level.
  16. There was a tweet from Burrows to suggest the kit details would be unveiled 'a bit later than normal'. Ideally, I think they would have wanted to promote the Past Present Future theme by releasing the kits on Wednesday to mark the cup anniversary.
  17. Can't wait to see how he gears up the Scotland team for the Italy and France games.
  18. A meaningless game has turned into a red neck and taken the gloss off what was a decent season.
  19. Disgraceful. Naive tactics from the manager. Poor application from the players. You can understand a drop-off in performance when there is nothing to play for at the end of a long but rewarding season. This however is shameful.
  20. That's the Luke Watt experiment over with. Such a wild call. After the youth cup final, I didn't expect to see him for some time.
  21. Lasley played the 90 at Parkhead did he not? We rarely get into a game without him starting.
  22. Generally speaking, Motherwell are pretty tough to watch when Lasley and Hammel are absent. Next season we do need to find suitable replacement while tapering down the contribution of the experienced duo. Would be amazed if Watt appeared for the 2nd half. Beyond dreadful.
