Moore did break in to the team at a young age before a horrific injury. If he's fully recovered from that, then he will have a future at Motherwell. Given that his striking buddy ended up at Leeds, I hope he gets a chance with us again.

A special night for following the 'Well. We've had some real quality bubbling under the surface the last 2/3 years and glad all concerned were rewarded tonight. Loving the love for Campbell, the boy is dynamite. Craigan and Lasley pinpointed him at the beginning of the season and done a terrific job developing him. Bumped into Moult on the way out, great to see the majority of the 1st team there. Real togetherness about the club just now.

Developers are spending considerable time battling for planning permission to build 1,000+ homes across other parts of Motherwell. Meanwhile they don't touch the vast space at Ravenscraig with a barge pole. Think that tells its only story regarding concerns over land. Was there not a protest recently too to ensure a school didn't get built there?

Looking for a new house in the Motherwell area so I could come round to the idea of Fir Park being sold to a developer. Don't fancy Motherwell moving to Ravenscraig though, such a grim part of town.

This surprises me as I assumed he had a good head on his shoulders in order for McGhee to propel him ahead of Laing, Kennedy and to a lesser extent, Watt. Infact one of the few pieces I've read on him was how he struggled with a bout of homesickness and was grateful to Motherwell staff for helping him knuckle down. We'll see what happens. We've handed out deals too early to young ones in the past.

Regarding Hall, as much as the early signs are very promising, I'd be surprised if any Scottish club was willing to pay a development fee plus significantly higher wages than Motherwell.

I can't see Hibs being in much trouble financially due to cup runs. However I'd be surprised if the likes of Hall would be interested in leaving Motherwell for a Hibs team that could still be in the championship.

Wonder who else is in for Hall then, I presumed Rangers was nothing more than a lazy rumour. Given the unexpected opportunity McGhee presented to him and the NI connection you'd think he'd be happy here. If he left, we'd be due a 6 figure sum eh?

McDonald and Cadden really impressive in midfield while Marvin showed some neat tricks. McManus motm though, he's had a good season.

I'd agree with this. I do hope though that we can find a couple of players with a Moult/Johnson profile in the midfield and fullback positions. This would allow a transitional spell to taper the game time of Lasley and Hammell while still making the most of their talent, experience and leadership.

Strangely, I've had no bother with the quality of either this season. Actually think they've been an upgrade on recent efforts.

It annoys me that I can't remember my 1st game better but I think it was a 2-0 defeat to Aberdeen in January 89 aged 5. Can't recall anything about the Motherwell team but I think Jess and Bett were playing for them. I didn't enjoy it at all and I think my next game wasn't until 91. After missing the Falkirk game with glandular fever I finally returned to FP for the boring 0-0 with Morton. I wasn't too interested at all to the extent my dad watched the Celtic replay in the Horse & Anchor in Camby. That remains the one and only time I've seen my auld man steaming and it finally clicked with me that this meant something significant. The 3-0 pumping of Rangers and build-up to the cup final within the town transformed everything. And from the pride and euphoria generated on the day I couldn't wait for the new season. The atmosphere of the Katowice game and my first 'away-day', to Somerset Park for the cup particular highlights.

The ineptness of Celtic was always going to be the greatest risk to European hopes. Hopefully it doesn't effect us too much and we go on to clinch 4th and an extra £200k. Having said that, the most exciting game between now and the end of the season is a week on Wednesday at Hampden.

If McGhee thinks he is good enough, then I'd be pleased to see Moore get another year. Back in the U20s, I used to think he had a better chance than Erwin, primarily due to having a good head on his shoulders to accompany his talent. The injury came at a horrible time and the snippets of his return last season suggested that he had bulked up but was badly in need of a run of games to get up to speed. Would be interesting to see how sharp he'd look after a successful season with Ayr and a preseason under McGhee. As an aside, if we've offered him a deal and he opts to move on I guess we'd be entitled to compensation.

Yeah Humphrey is out for the season with a shin injury. By no means expecting Hutchy back at Motherwell but would expect the aforementioned Rangers, Hearts and Aberdeen to be making enquiries.
