The word 'legend' gets used far too often to describe ex-players. This is one case where it hardly goes far enough. Joe Wark deserves this title. I started supporting and watching Motherwell in the 74/75 season so Joe was in his heyday. A model of consistency and extremely faithful to the club. As WeeYin said, the best timing of a tackle you'll ever see. RIP.

Any player who plays half a season of first team football and reckons he's going to go and start every week in the championship is deluded. Everybody could see that except him and his agent. Jim O'Brien, for example, was a much better developed player (not saying better, just further on in his development) when he went down south and it took him nearly two years to become a standard name on the team sheet type player at Barnsley. Young players need to stop believing their agents.

I suspect that also. Can't go three at the back with Ainsworth and Johnson. Not exactly known for slotting in at the back when under pressure. You can do that when your backs are people like Rab McKinnon.
