  1. My first year as a season ticket holder. As I recall, we were far from struggling. Four or five draws, followed by a defeat (away to St J) and a win (home to Hibs). This was the same season as the infamous 3-2 semi, but much earlier in the season. Vic Davidson was amazing with the ball (although sometimes accused of being a bit lazy), but he waltzed past people as if they weren't there. Does anyone know if there is any footage around of our 3-2 win over the tims in the cup (same season) ?
  2. What he said to the power of as many as you can fucking think of. The fucking bastard h*n/mason/c**t/ ref (J.P.R. Gordon wasn't it) who later took bribes abroad and took YEARS to set foot back in Fir Park, should have got the jail for that fucking penalty decision. Can't believe I feel so fucking angry at that bastard c**t son of a whore thirty four fucking years after it happened Hey ho

    Joe Wark

I've seen the word 'legend' used many many times to describe players over the years. I can safely say, that if there is such a thing as a Motherwell legend, then Joe Wark is it. All the best Joe.
  5. Fuckin' YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  6. Text commentary is fucking torture.........
  7. Thanks for that mate. A blinding find ! My first ever game against the h**s !
  8. 2nd game I've taken my 11 yr old boy to and the second win with a first minute opener for us. He thinks supporting 'Well now involves a quick opener and a win every week Thought we were similar to the St Midden game. Great opening 20 mins (Lasley going off hurt us) and then heavy weather of what should have been a straightforward win. On the plus side, we turn attack into defence quickly and have a decent team there. Gow looks like he's got the football but needs to do more in the effort dept and will maybe improve when a bit fitter. Onwards and upwards. Comfortable win on Tuesday
  9. First game since I moved to Bute five years ago. Took my son (his first real game) and me dad, so we had three generations sat together. Great start and a good spell after with pretty football but no cutting edge. Seemed to lose our way after that and they could have scored before half time. I honestly thought we were going to lose after the equaliser, but a 'strange' penalty and an excellent third did the business. How good would that have been if Randy's clearance had gone in instead of coming off the bar ?? Great to be back at the fitba' after such a long break.
  10. If only we could sign a 'Goal Machine' type.........
  11. Am absolutely FUCKING GUTTED not to be there tonight, being stuck in Halalifax, West Yorkshire with work. Most excited I've felt about this game since '91 All you lucky fuckers that are there, ROAR THEM ON !! 'Mon The 'Well
  12. Absolutely agree matey, but that team also had Rab Shannon and Rab McKinnon in it. Two guys who could go forward well, but crucially, defend too. The 'three at the back' line up didn't have any wide defensive players in it. Don't think we have the players to play that formation I'm afraid (although it would be my preferred way if we did).
  13. Thought we gave a bloody good account of ourselves there. They're not anything to fear I don't think. That said, they get forward more incisively than we do, but most teams do, to be fair. We play the ball quite well on the ground, but sometimes it's just too slow and obvious. Two defensive errors (and a denied pen or two) cost us what would have been a well deserved draw. That said, the last minute away goal changes it completely !! WE CAN DO THIS !
  14. Esteban Casagolda Collazo and Duncan McKinnon are now friends.
  15. Want a United win (obviously) for the trip to europe, but have stuck £5 on Ross County to win and £2 on Ross County to win 2-1, so if we don't get to europe, I can get pissed. Job's a good 'un.
  16. Remember listening to the radio on the way home from that game. Fergus McBunnet was getting interviewed and he said 'Motherwell got a cheap goal' in that stupid half glasgow/half canadian accent of his. The occupants of the car all shouted 'Get it right up you McCann' in unison while we were sitting in a queue of unhappy tims. Happy days !!
  17. Can only echo what was said above. The best Motherwell team I have ever seen. How much of that was down to Wullie McLean, i don't know, but the signing of guys like Vic davidson (struggled to make an impact at Celtic) were inspired. Vic D waltzed round people like they werent there. Bobby Graham/Willie P....what a strikeforce. McVie & Stevens ? Don't mess with them. Joe Wark.....real legend. On the subject of Peter Miller.......I was only a wean and we got gubbed 4-0 by Killie in an Anglo Scottish Cup tie. I was in the enclosure mith my da' and some big killie thug halfed Vic Davidson in two with a tackle. Peter Miller was on the bench and had to be held down by the entire dugout. He was screaming...'you're fuckin dead ya c**t', 'ahm gonnie fucking kill you'. My old man was covering my ears and Wullie Mclean had to try and calm him down. Needless to say, he never got on that night. :-)
  18. I did a gig with Gary a couple of years ago and he was using my mics, PA system etc. He had a go at taking the piss. Part way through his act, he accidentally stood on my mic reverb pedal, so started echoing like fuck. When I told him to press the pedal again, to switch it off, he stepped on the harmony pedal, turning it on too. he sounded like three echoing daleks talking. When I jumped onto the stage to switch them off, he said 'There you go folks, his act is all based around electronic pedals, he canny really play anything'. I said, "press the one in the middle big man. It might fuckin' say something funny". Not the funniest comedian I've ever seen. Hope he's no readin' this though, he's a big cnut and he'd kick fcuk out of me
  19. I always thought he was a reasonable player, but I reckon he became more of a 'legend' when he was out injured and rose tinted specs made everyone think he was better than we thought. Especially when the Malpish season was going so badly and everyone needed something to look forward to. Things will be better when Corrigan is back Having said that, he stuck with us through the bad times and 'Well stuck with him through his bad times. All in all, a reasonable player.
  20. A bit raw, but a good solid central defender, partnered by the rather uncompromising Wullie McVie Add players like Wullie Watson, Peter Miller and Stu McLaren and nobody fucked wi' the 'Well. Oh Aye, forgot to add, delivered Gregor Stevens' papers when he lived in Garrowhill
  21. JHC on a bike............thought that was real too !! HOTD for this pish !
