  1. £2k a week isn't an usual wage for Motherwell to pay.

I'd agree Bryson is probably your best player, but take Kyle our the Killie team and you lose a lot of goals per season.

Did you mean it wouldn't be an unusual amount for Motherwell to pay? As far as I know he is happy at Killie, it would take prob £3000+ a week for him to move and only Hearts and the old firm offer that kind of money these days. Even Hibs don't pay that.

Bryson has been immense since JJ left and i'm sure we'll get offers for him in the summer. Kyle has scored 9 goals this season.

  2. If he leaves Killie it will be for more money and as he's on £2,000 a week with us, I doubt he'd get more at Motherwell.

My guess is Hearts if he leaves.

He's is by no means our most vital player, if Bryson was to leave we'd be fucked but thankfully he's still got over 3 years to go on a 5 year contract.

  3. Can't complain about the result, Motherwell were the better side and the first 2 goals were really well taken. Coke was best player on pitch by a mile.

Calderwood only came in on friday and played JJ's team and formation.

I'm sure there will be massive changes in tactics and starting 11 in the coming weeks.

Hopefully if we meet in the cup in a couple of weeks, Calderwood will have dropped a few from that starting 11 and kicked the long ball into touch.

I also think the club should have the away fans in the Main Stand for the majority of games, as it is pointless opening it and having 700 fans in it, plus i'm sure the atmostphere in 'well end was better than it would have been in the Chadwick. You'll defo be in Chadwick if we meet in cup though.

  4. Just telling you what I heard!!

Calderwood is obviously desperate so fuck knows what money he is on.

sorry, also meant to add 1-0 ya fat dick!!

Well your "sources" have been shite.

Going by your sources, Gordon Chisholm would have been named on Wednesday and you'd have put your savings on it if you'd found a bookie willing to take the bet! :P

  5. I've now been told that Killie can only match what Chisholm is on at QOS.

    You talk utter shite Broon!

You think Calderwood is on 1st Division wages? Chisholm was 2nd choice and would have teken the job is Calderwood turned it down.

  6. Confident of game going ahead Squirrell? I know its only Wed but after looking at those pictures and the fact its to snow soon I cant see it, police will call it off imo.

Right up for it too, could be a good wee day out.

I reckon it will be on.

  7. Not enough effort seems to be being made by Killie within their own grounds to clear the snow and ice. It may be a bit treacherous but folk have been getting around to work etc so why not the fitba? Too many of the health and safety brigade about theses days!!

I'd say hiring a JCB is a fair bit of effort.

Bearing in mind the area surrounding our stadium is far bigger than any other SPL ground due to the Hotel etc. The Majority of the area's around Fir Park, Tynecastle etc are all council owned, the majority of the area's on those photo's are owned by the club with the exception of the pavements on the streets outside and they are just as bad.

  8. Heard that the 'Gordon Young equivalent' at Killie is abroad on holiday so an interim manager will need to be announced asap. Tommy McLean is as good a shout as any imo.

He is in Turkey with our U19 squad.

  9. Just back from Rugby Park where chairman announced JJ was away at supporters meeting. Get in!

I also saw Craig Brown in Hotel at stadium and i'm not taking the piss. He lives in Ayrshire so could be very innocent but bit of a coincidence.

Thats Killie well and truly fucked now.

Couldn't be any worse than it was under JJ.

Just hearing on the radio that the Killie fans applauded the news Jeffries was gone. Not really sure what they think is going to happen next. As far as I'm led to believe the players were behind the manager and NOT the Chairman. There will be compensation involved so I am certain Killie will apoint a manager who is out of work.

We appluaded the romoval off JJ but don't believe what you read in the papers about the players loving JJ, trust me!

  10. Arse. Unless it goes to next Wednesday I'm out. Combination of lack of leave and folk off sick in our place has ruled me out.

Looks like Killie might be the beneficiaries of my hard earned instead this weekend if they can get Rugby Park playable.

BBC Weather page will lose about 20 hits a day as well :D

Pitch at RP is fine, its jsut the ice on the pavements etc. A thaw today though, so looks like sat should be ok.

  11. You'll need to expand there mate. Btw what is Kyle on per week at Killie?

He has went to the press moaning about the club on 2 or 3 occasions, which isn't doing any good.

He is on in excess of £2,000 a week.

  12. :O

That is a surprise. Do you have the money to punt him though?

Here is what another fan posted on Killiefc.com and I agree 100% with it.

"Johnston is running the club into the ground by making silly cuts all over the place and not making any effort to attract fans or investment. He is also turning the club into a laughing stock with all these recent revelations.

Jefferies is being portrayed as some sort of managerial genius by the media as usual. I'm not sure if it's ignorance on their part, or whether JJ has friends in the media circles, but he always gets an extremely easy ride. Despite what the press would have you believe with their talk of constant cuts, he actually had his budget increased in each of the last two seasons, although it was cut back a bit again this season. He has also been given significant transfer funds to spend recently (reported fees of £100k for Pascali, £50k for Sammon, £20k for Gibson), and was given extra funds last January to sign Kyle.

It can't be easy to work under a buffoon of a chairman, but he is simply not doing anything like as well as he could at the moment. The sad thing is, had he left a couple of years ago, he would probably be regarded as an excellent Killie manager. After a difficult start, he built a great team which played some nice football and also got results. He developed Naismith's talents in the first team, and turned him into a £2m player and a Scotland international. He also led us to consecutive top six finishes and a cup final (the less said about the actual match, the better).

The dreadful performances and the less attractive, and less effective football we have produced in the last couple of seasons have ruined the reputation he had built for himself, and the majority of fans will probably now only remember him for that. I suggested that he should have left after the Gretna season, which would have been the ideal time because his stock amongst the Killie fans would still have been high. Instead he was offered a long-term deal, and after a struggle with relegation last season, we look set for the same again this time around. This season has been worse in many ways, and unless something changes on the field soon, we will go down.

I think the biggest problem we are suffering from is stagnation. There is nothing to excite the fans. A new manager, a new chairman, or even the introduction of an exciting youth player (he doesn't even have to be good) would go a long way to solve that. These stories suggest that JJ may soon be on his way out, but while I think his time is well and truly up now, I worry about who we would end up with as his replacement. "

  13. YES YES YES!!!

Don't listen to the press pish that he's got no money, I was at the AGM in December and his budget has INCREASED twice in past two seasons. He has a budget higher than St Mirren, Hamilton, St Johnstone, Motherwell and Falkirk.

I'll personally pay for his taxi to Motherwell if you want him....
