  1. If Rangers are not able to fulfil their remaining fixtures as is a scenario by the administrators today, the main losers would be Kilmarnock who would loose 6 points and Hearts and St Mirren would would loose 4 points. St J would loose just the 1 point and United would remain the same. But we would be in 2nd placecheers.gif

    6pts I'd happily lose!

  2. Bigger squad yes but I was told by Kenny Shiels pre season that st mirren blew us out the water for the lad Carey.

He is obviously going down the route of getting a strong squad together rather than just a really strong 11. Hopefully it will benefit us when other teams start picking up injuries/suspensions.

On Saturday we had guys like Galan, Hutchinson, Bell, Pavankar, Ada etc that weren't even stripped!

But as I've previously said, our budget is solely decided by bank. KS seems to have good contacts and the fact that we were only paying eremenks living expenses, shows there are bargains to be had.

For the record, Harkins on £1800 is top earner.

  3. I'd be more concerned about how on Earth Kilmarnock are bank-rolling this current team. Where is the money coming from as I was under the impression they were over £10Million in debt, or has that changed?

Our budget has been slashed each of the past three years. Think KS has £500,000 a year less than what JJ's lowest wage bill was.

We also can't compete with the likes of motherwell or even st mirren in terms of wages. Harkins and Pasca top earners.

The likes of McKeown, Pursehouse, Dayton, etc from those they played yesterday will be on peanuts. Guys like Fowler, Kelly came through youth system and won't be earning megabucks, whilst Shiels and Sissoko are on loan.

The bank call the shots, whatever our budget is, they've agreed to it.

Our debt was £13m at one point but should be around £8m by the time next set of accounts are out. Mainly due to the cost of building hotel, sports bar etc.

  4. Actually counting it it would be 2 in 20 (8 last season and 12 this season). I think that is why Shiels comes away with over exagerations (dominated game yesterday) as he is quite rightly concerned. If you avoid Celtic I can see you at the CIS Cup Final. Killie have the potential to finish anywhere from 4th place to 9th imo. It will be the draws that could scupper you. I fancy you to finish 6th.

Was the win before that, the game we hammered you at RP?

  5. Dont agree with that at all, his shooting in particular was diabolical...if he was one of our players the East Stand would have crucified him

His shooting is normally one of the stronger aspects of his game. I thought he played well yesterday.

    Jennings was your best player.

  6. Every club draws support from other towns within a close proximity to their home town, but not every club has the OF at such close proximity

Killie is slightly bigger than Motherwell and whilst we don't have any big towns right next to us, Irvine is about 10 miles away.

Just too bad Ayrshire is full of h**s. The new M77 means you can be in Glasgow in 20 mins from Killie.

Was walking to Rugby Park on Saturday and saw a guy and his son getting out house next to ground with Celtic colours on. What chance you got?!

  7. Spot on mate ..................... and our domestic points scoring has us placed 5th in Scotland.

An excellent achievement to date :notworthy:

Celtic, rangers, motherwell, aberdeen and hearts?

The all time SPL table makes interesting reading too.

  8. Killie took a great away support to St Mirren recently shame the same won't be at Fir Park. Joy of TV I guess.

As for the game. Think stylistically both teams are set up for a good even game. Hopefully a 2-0 Well win with goals from Higgy and Murphy.

Just under 1300. We always take a big crowd there, took 2600 last year.

For some reason we take nothing like that to FP.
