  1. I see killie got back to type yesterday with another bad defeat ,I cant help but notice that our team with Clancy has won more games and conceded less goals than your team .Maybe the guy isn't as bad player as Killie fans make out .

    All about opinions.

    Mine is that he's shite

  2. If I was a Killie fan I'd be praising my own team for doing so well against an obviously good side, and asking why they couldn't do that more consistently.

Hopefully the consistency will come, as we look like keeping most of our squad.

If we even had average results against bottom six sides, we would be comfortabley top six.

6 clean sheets vs Motherwell, Rangers and Celtic but at same time can lose 6 at home to ICT.

  3. Yet another fair sized support trooped down to Rugby Park and got an all too familiar result. This place has been a bit of bogey ground in the past few seasons and I for one have yet to see a winning 'Well team there. We got what we deserved - nada. Really disappointing display and worried that we still have performances like this in our locker especially at the business end of the season.

You've won there twice in past 2.5 seasons including a 3-0 win!

  4. Did we not draw 1-1 after the split last season at Fir Park?

Cheap point scoring I know, but had a week of everyone correcting all my mistakes so thought I'd get one back.

Think tomorrow will depend on Killie, the atmosphere will either inspire them or the excitement will kill them. We need to go down there and do a professional job. If there are parts of the team with inexperience we need to pressure them (unlike what Aberdeen did to us last week). They may have a few out but they are a decent team, though incredibly in and out. We do our normal away performance and I doubt we'll lose. Can see it being a draw again to be honest.

Good point, I stand corrected. Eremenkos last game.

The midweek monsoon game was 1-0.

    Killed too many braincells Sunday/Monday/Tues!

  5. Oooops, look what I've started!

I can't deny I'm jealous of your chance of champs league qualifiers and will prob go to the games at FP.

To an extent I agree with fatcalf too but only one of the two will get an open top bus go through your town and its not qualifying for Europe.

To me, the scenes in Killie on Sunday (and 97) were as enjoyable as the game itself.

I really hope you qualify for CL and give it your best shot. Nothing to lose.

  6. While being absolutely humped before and after it in the league. Rather keep our way of doing it given a choice.

2 Draws and 3 defeats the five league games before/after the win at Ibrox. They played Dunfermline twice and Hibs once. With United and Hearts being the other two games.

Won the two that mattered most.

Got up up Admin Fc and won cup.

Europe is amazing but not as good as Sunday was in my opinion.

As I said, you can take 500 off us tomorrow and I'll still be smiling.

  7. I think the League Cup success has papered over the cracks. Which is perfectly understandable. Easy route to Final but the win on Sunday was tremendous.

However, he can't have won much more than 10 league games since he became boss about a year ago and that must be close to 40 in charge. He HAS had a pretty decent budget and SHOULD have finished in the top six. His outbursts in reference to matters at other Clubs range from naive to embarrassing to obvious mind games (announced as such after they have worked that is).

In terms of mind games, he has a psychology degree, I'm not in any doubt they are intentional.

He said at start of season that it would be a rollercoaster year. It has been.

We've been tremendous at times, shocking at others but its good to watch.

We've drawn far too many games this season but I think we will be a bit more streetwise next year.

Not many teams would stick on essentially a third Striker (Heff, Shiels and Dvt) with 15 mins to go in a cup final against Celtic when it was 0-0.

I like him, my mates on here will testify to that but can see why opposing fans wouldn't.

For all his failures, you've stlll not beaten ( or scored against him) as boss.

  8. Mind games. Watch him burst like a ripe tomato after the game if Killie get a result. I am impressed with Killie's results against the OF this season. Very good. I am not convinced by KS as a manager. Not as good as he thinks he is and I believe he will get found out next season.

I can only see us getting better. Some cracking youngsters coming through and KS has made some very good long term signings.

  9. Half price train booked (thanks Jay for bringing that link up). Really looking forward to the game. Carrie out on the train will be interesting as i am on the train from Lanark to Glasgow before meeting a few guys to head down so i am going to look like a Jackie drinking my self but i dont give a fuck. Is there a pub near the ground or the station to drink in before the game as i usual drive down? Think we will destroy Kilmarnock 4 or 5.

Portmann is 2 mins walk to away end. Spurts bar in ground and hotel allow away fans.

    Portmann has decent beer garden.

If you take 500 off us, you still won't be able to wipe smile off my face!!

  10. This game is meaningless for us. I don't think KS is playing games, if anything he's trying to wind up tims about ruining their party at ibrox.

We have got quite a few players injured/suspended but should still field a decent enough side. They were off Monday/Tuesday but most players were back Wed. Apart from Lee Johnson who was sitting B License in England. That maybe shows how seriously we are taking!

  11. if you clap for everyone it means nothing.

it has to be for people you especially respect. i know nothing about this guy other than his boy plays for killie and he died at hampden.

This has nothing to do with motherwell, so wouldn't expect you to know his life story.

It'll be a minute of silence anyway.

  12. i can't really say i'm keen on clapping someone i know absolutely nothing about.

Don't go to your seat until after it then.

The guy collapsed amongst the fans, was treated on pitch side watched by 12,000 Killie fans, the players and staff and has left one of our players distraught on what should be the best moment of his career so far.

Ordinarily a players parent dying wouldnt be a big deal but that was tragic to see unfold on Sunday and definately took shine off my day.

Even talking to KS yesterday at the hotel at rugby park, he still seemed to have his mind on other things.

I think a minute of silence is appropriate, if you don't want to observe it then stay away.

The funeral has not been confirmed yet but the whole squad are going to it in Milton Keynes.
