Was there not plans for a training facility at the bottom end of Muirhouse a few years back? It would be interesting to see/ hear what happened with them

Just said to my son, he looks like one of these guys who's a half step ahead of everyone in his thought process. Unlucky not to score there...
Davie Cooper was like that when he started at Fir Park and it took a wee while for the rest of the players to get onto his wavelength.

Not sure if this has been posted already but a positive video on our fan ownership in the BBC website

Carson and Kipre will go for 7 figure sums this transfer window.
A collective 7-figures or both will leave for 7-figures each? Liverpool are just about to sell their reserve-reserve keeper for £10 million; Carson’s true value won’t be realised when he leaves us. Hopefully a nice wee sell-on clause will be included

I heard Tony Watt on the radio this afternoon suggesting that he hopes to be signing for a club this week. Was he not mentioned earlier in this thread? Could Robinson and Lasley be the ones to get the best from him?

Did anyone see Carson in the photos at the training camp?
-
Still in the top 6 at the mo; a win on Saturday would be ideal obviously

This is a bit random, not sure its the right thread. I agree that Carson is our most consistent performer. Does anyone think he should be getting some international recognition? McGovern isnt playing at Norwich, Mannus is on the bench at St Johnstone and Carroll must be nearly 300.

This article appeared before Christmas about Ostersunds http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41902664

I think Davie Cooper, Tam Forsyth and wee Tommy McLean had the same challenges, such a secret to keep
-
It was all fun and games when Joe Garner was 'putting himself about' throwing elbows and flying into challenges last year.
Short memories.
That was the point that Mark Wilson was making but talking about Jack. Also Gordon Dalziel also mentioned that were gett a bit of a hard time from the media about being overly physical.

The seethe on superscore board is incredible - how outrageous that wee Motherwell dare push the mighty Rangers about in such cynical ways. Well done to Mark Wilson who reminded them that Ryan Jack has been sent off several times already this season and Graeme Murty didnt see too much wrong.

This is gold on SuperScoreBoard - thankfully Hugh Keevins mentioned the injury to Louis Moult. Some callers may self combust

Are the highlights on anywhere other than BT?

A good read in this morning's Herald on big Cedric http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/15539386.Cedric_Kipre__I__39_ve_tasted_PSG_and_Leicester__but_I__39_m_loving_life_at_Motherwell/?ref=ebls

Could Hamilton be automatically relegated if Inverness won their next two games?
-
Having watched the highlights last night, I'd be looking at the crosses being launched into the box (both from the lady hand side) before I'm blaming Samson for the goals. Far too often and too easily, are crosses coming in. And this was a criticism from last season as well.

We were seeded, it was impossible not to the first time and just about impossible not to the second time. If you want to make a few bob this is a good draw. If you want to win it, it is a rotten draw. Unless you think Celtic in the midst of a Champions League qualifying campaign will see this as being well down their priority list may just rest a few, it could be the right time to get them. Some daemons from May 15th to be got rid of!
Tend to agree with the last points from Tweed - this competition will only be slightly more important than the glamour friendlies that Celtic are playing, so they may play some fringe players. And following our capitulation there at the end of last season, McGhee and the players should be looking to a much better performance/ result. Again, it'll depend which 'Well turn up

Not sure if this has been picked up earlier https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/jul/13/iceland-motherwell-lens-where-did-the-thunderclap-originate

Penalty decision looks worse in the highlights than it did at the time! And as others have said, ref couldn't wait to give it! 2 games this month now victories have been snatched away by shocking last minute penalty shouts against us. It's not good enough from the officials point of view and it could be really costly for us.
January has been a really bad month for us and Tuesday is now (not that is wasn't already) absolutely "must not lose". Next 3 league games are absolutely massive.
Accies may well be rotten but are now 2 points ahead of us! I have the fear it's between us and Killie for the play off spot.
I agree that we are in danger of it becoming between us and Killie, and they don't appear to be waiting too long to fill their managerial vacancy -

Forever the pessimist - until it's absolutely mathematically certain that we can't finish either 11th or 12th, I'll keep looking over my shoulder

It is congested and a win at Thistle would make it even more interesting, most definitely onwards and upwards

The other thing to consider around Simo & his record - Solskjaer (sp?) had a brilliant record before coming to the EPL & it didn't work out for him. As someone mentioned earlier - all appointments have an element of risk, we just need to try & reduce that risk
Stadium and training ground back on agenda

Aberdeen have pushed back the entry date for their new proposed stadium because the revenue they expected for selling pittodrie has fallen due to house prices in the area, according to sports sound yesterday. I’d imagine we’d be in the same situation if we tried to sell fir park
