  1. would you no love the ref in the celtic game to have a howler and give a wrong penalty decision against celtic – that would make my day
  2. I can't be bothered pointing out how stupid your post is, so I'll just let you know I think its a load of pish! edit: PS no I'm not a RC

    Van Der Gaag

First time I've seen the goal. I missed this game because I was working down in Bristol but can remember I was a right grumpy c*nt all day waiting for the result! - none of my mates had mobiles so I had to wait for the full time results before I knew we were safe. Next time I was home all my mates talked about was the wonder stike that I'd missed.
  4. Easily better than Ruddy.
  5. Great game, especially the 1st 30min when we were outstanding! After that we never look like losing and everyone put in a great shift. Pass marks for all the players but the ref was a total tosser.
  6. As with most threads on this site, this one seems to have gone off in completly the wrong directing. The main point of the thread was to raise money for charity - soapy, have you managed to get a buyer at the price you were looking for? If not hows this for an idea, from this site we try and get 49 people willing to pay £5 each and then allocate each person a number between 1 and 49. Once this is done the next national lottery bonus ball number is the winning number and the ball goes to the person who has that number and your charity collects £245. Anybody willing to pay a fiver for a chance to own the ball? I'd take a couple and i know a couple of my mates would also buy at least one so thats at least 7 for a start.

    Stevie Kirk

Best wishes to you and your family, get well soon Stevie
  8. ref was a grade 1 tosser, how he never book Hartley is beyond me! All the gypo did was push and kick. Should have been an easy game for us, Aberdeen are shit, 2pts dropped in my opinion.
  9. I'm hoping that both Gow and Humphrey will play with Gow on the left and Humphrey on the right. With a little luck Gow will get to the back post and score from Humphrey's long crosses.
  10. Interesting that there's nothing on the official website saying that we're not looking to sign/sell anymore players before the window closes. Did they not put up a message last time saying something to that effect?
  11. Aye y've got me there, any chance of an explanation for a mere mortal? Bet you Samuel Johnstone would struggle with that!
  12. Mate you heard wrong, Carroll wasn't in top form (I can't even think of one good save he made) it was more like our strikes luck was missing. On a good night they would have put 3 or 4 past him. correction: he had one good save from Blackman.
  13. 100% correct mate - also last nights game must have put about £100 000 (after costs) into the clubs budget so not a complete loss.
  14. but if we had been in the draw we would have been eligable to get put into any group where as AA gent were restricted. So the draw could have been different - basically its a case of "if yer maw had baws she'd be yer da"
  15. Don't know about you mate but that's what I feel like at the start of every season, only to look back in May and think about games where we played like tonight, wondering what could have been if only we had managed to score in games where we out classed the opposition but failed to take our chances - the joys (?) of supporting the 'Well.
  16. Aye - no doubt JB will be complaining that he could have made it £21
  17. POD, Cooper and East stand all but full (looked like 2 doz. max left between them), Lower south stand all but full also, tickets now being sold for the upper lefthand side (closest to the east stand). Looks like its going to be rocking tonight!
  18. pm me with his details and I'll nip down.
  19. get yer arse's off the couch tomorrow night and get to fir park.

    Bovril

Welcome to the forum ally - bit of a random rant for your 1st post on the eve of possibly the biggest match we've been involved in for many a year but here's my thoughts (I'm off work sitting in the house bored) I'm quite sure its not "bovril" made by bovril that is sold at FP-I think that its made by Knorr so that might be the difference but from wikipedia: In November 2004 the manufacturers, Unilever, announced that the composition of Bovril was being changed from beef extract to a yeast extract, claiming it was to make the product suitable for vegetarians and vegans; at that time fear of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) may have been a factor. According to Unilever, "in blind taste tests, 10% didn't notice any difference in taste, 40% preferred the original and 50% preferred the new product" You could always try what I do and mix 3 to 4 sashets of pepper in with it.
  21. GazzyB, if it helps you I'll drop by the ticket office today, get you a ticket and then arrange to meet you before the game.
  22. Was a good player with Falkirk but hasn't managed anything since. Would still be happy if we sign him though.
