    Whats New?

I'm happy with the Hibs game being changed as I have a wedding to attend on the 14th but I can understand people being p*ssed off.

    Whats New?

I’m on holiday at the moment and have just logged in for the 1st time in a couple of weeks. Having a quick look at the treads, it appears that we have two potential signings, no sponsor, won the two friendlies and Chapman’s pies are back. Anything else happened?
  4. If I remember correctly, does the signing deadline not only apply to each of the early rounds? ie you can sign someone after the deadline who wouldn't be available for the 1st round we play in but if we quailfy, they would be available for the next round.
  5. Having been at the cup game up there last season, it's the last place I want to start the season! away to a newly promoted team out to prove themselves playinig a team they know they can beat - would rather someone else played them first game.
  6. Got to agree with you there Lobey_Dosser, it always hacks me off that we're all to quick to start ripping into our younger players who don't reach the high expectations we put on them within a season. Given time and a bit of patience I believe we will see him reach his potential.

    Granpa Broon

I think the English department at Braidhurst should be sacked if your grammar and spelling is the standard that they produce 6th formers to.
  8. Delboy, You mention a mesh being used, where did you see this? I know that Hull City's surface has a type of mesh covering woven into the soil which protects the grass (they ground share with a rugby team) but I didn't know we were fitting something similar. If it works for them then I'd think it will do the trick for us. Another thing I heard last week was that during the summer grass grows upwards and during the winter is when the roots of the grass grow down into the soil but if you use USH and heat the soil the grass thinks its summer and tends to grow upwards meaning that you have shallow roots, the soil becomes loose and is easy torn. Best advice is to turn off the USH straight after a game and leave it off until a day or two before the park is used again. If that makes sense

    Jim O'Brien

Best of luck to Jim,he's played well for us over the season.
  10. Have been thinking about this and tonight was better because it means we are now in witth a great chance of finishing fourth. Best four games for me are: '91 Cup final '91 Cup Semi final replay Tonight 2-1 win over Celtic That Sunday.
  11. I'm suprised its taken this long for one of the bigot brothers to take an interest in him.
  12. What a night, what a game. No much point checkin oor lottery tickets the night - nobody gets that much luck! 'Well, 'Well, Super 'Well!
  13. Thou ght we were lucky not to get beat last time we played them at FP. Could be a tight game.
  14. or brown is looking to next season and is trying to use the players we will have to see what they can do.
  15. Just in and reading the thread the change of players/formation filled me with dread - to many bad memories of the Inverness game! Glad he's changed back to 4-4-2.
  16. was sent to me in an email - didn't realise we were supposed to add credits when posting!

    Rangers

very hard to choose but I went for Lasley, the way that Lasley,o'brian and hateley played together was a pleasure to watch. Craigan was outstanding as was Jennings. The front two ran themselves into the ground also - awe feck it, I want to vote fur then aw'
  21. Mibbe it got something to do with giro day!
  22. His lack of pace doesn't worry me at the moment. As others have said he's still young and should build up both his pace and stamina over the next year or so. As for can we afford to play him at the moment? Yes, but I think we have to be careful when we play him. Wed. night might be a good game for him to start (although I don't see him lasting the full game. We will struggle to get many chances in the box, so his ability to strike the ball from a distance could be valuable - especially if we play with a 5 man midfield and one up front. Next Sat. wont be a game for him to start but he could be brought on for the second half if we go a goal down. This is the way that I think CB will use him for the rest of this season.
  23. I'm happy with the team selection at the moment but think this will be a very tough game. Accies are now sitting bottom of the league and will view a win here as a must to get them back off the bottom. I'm not making any predictions.
