  1. Adams just joined Hibs though, so very unlikely he would come here.
  2. None of the above. JB will pull one out of left field that none of us have even considered.
  3. hahahaha It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you. The whole world is against MFC and this is just another example. I think that man should be sacked for the terrible way he wouldn't let the glorious MFC use the facilities ahead of the nobody sellic under 19's. Also, sack the receptionist who forced Mr Knox (aledgedly) to shout at her.
  4. guaranteed that fud at the centre is a sillic fan and couldn't wait to go running to the press. fud.
  5. I don't see it as cancelled on the sky site either. sky web page does say the rangers / utd game is off though.
  6. the official site is taking a hammering. Flow really should look into getting a bigger pipe, or increase the pool on the SQL box.
  7. nothing on the official site or on bbc yet though
  8. Why didn't he just ask the SFA why they needed the refs? wouldn't that be the first thing you would do? If it were me and they blatantly lied to me then I would certainly be taking it further with Uefa.
  9. yes, but they call it a strike to make it easy for the general punters to understand. people can call it anything they like, but in reality it's not a strike, its just "not going to work"
  10. Is this really a strike though. I don't think it is. Aren't referees actually "consultants" and basically self employed? if they are then they can't actually strike as such, the can only say that they are not willing to take up any work on those dates - which is exactly what their statement says. Symantics maybe, but it is a diffirence between a strike and simply not working on those dates. therefore there is no picket line to cross. all the SFA are doing is sourcing alternative consultants to take up critical work for specific dates.
  11. to risk going round in circles... It's one thing supporting the refs this weekend (assuming the matches go ahead) but lets be honest. they really are not that great though are they? Yes, we wouldn't have a game if there were no refs, but we can't turn a blind eye to just how bad they can be - not just the man in the middle, but the linesmen too. We have all seen So many decisions over the years that have been nothing short of shocking. very rarely now a match goes by without ironic cheers from us when the ref eventually gets a decision right - usually for a throw in. YES, they need support, but they also need to realise that they too need to improve. it's a two way street. It's time for full time match officials. If they want to have another interest, let them do that part time.
  12. I think the SPL should have its own referees. Lets get the SPL starting up a Referee academy and get them on full time. for £800 a match, this should definatley be a full time role. ok, it doesn't solve this issue, but at least going forward they will be SPL refs. Lets ban current SFA grade 1 refs from joining - no point in bringing folk through who are too set in their ways. let them stick to the SFA leagues. Once this is in, lets get the ref's on microphones and get it broadcast - same as they do in rugby. that would have stopped the whole "lying about the penalty" incident. Also, let our new refs come out and explain their decisions after the match - yes they will have their mics and we can hear conversations, but there will be decisions made that may not have a conversation at the time. Lets use this to bring in a new era of transparency and let both sides have a say on whats gone on. I think if we allowed managers to have a constructive feedback session on the match - rather than a hack reporter sticking a mic in their mouths right after the game would be much more beneficial to everyone.
  13. Well, let them strike. they are not our referees. The SPL have a contract with the SFA to provide them with officials for their matches. If the SFA fail to provide them then the SPL sues them for breach of contract. The SFA would need to re-emburse the clubs for lost revenue.
  14. Aren't our primary sponsor a communications company? Sureley they can sort some stuff out.
  15. Beith away please!. just a few miles up the road.
  16. anyone else notice there was no where near enough time added on at the end? the incident of the head knocks itself lasted more than 6 minutes - just a few seconds short of 7minutes to be fair. then there was another incident in the half where the physios were on which added another 2 minutes, then there are the substitutions. should have been 10 minutes minimum.
  17. Wouldn't it be better if those who wanted to sing/chant/wave flags/banners etc sat in the main stand? That way you are right beside the dugout and the manager / subs can also get caught up in it and be right up for the game? Yes. I think that should definitley happen.
  18. yep, the boy did well. Suttons goal started with a cracking header on from Fitzy on our 18 yard line. well done lad.
  19. At the Hamilton game.... "give that ball to Hately to take the penalty......."
  20. This is pish. I can't believe there is no radio coverage. this is without doubt the tie of the round. the game should have been on TV, never mind not even being on the wireless. piss poor BBC.
  21. Anyone know if Tuesday's game is on TV? I can't make the match. Sad times.
  22. The SPL is no place for a rookie. let them learn their trade in a league that doesn't really matter - perhaps one of the english leagues then they can make the step up to the SPL.
  23. Totally agree about the linesman and the ref. Both of them were well out of their depth today and it clearly showed. they were either 1. Cheats or 2. abslutley totally useless at what they were employed to do today. Simpy not good enough and if that is what the referees association deem acceptable, then no matter what happens with league reconstruction, Scottish football is on its death bed. if that ref and linesmen had made those decisions in tomorrows OF game then they it would be all over the papers / tv / radio /internet. In fact there would have been reporters phoning everyone individually to make sure they knew how bad it was. AND they deserved EVERY single thing that was shouted at them today. in fact I think they got off lightly. Feckers.
