Pretty much agree with that. You have to ask why SK hasn't selected Gent and Spencer, as starters, until the last couple of games or so.

I'll add to the list. How many fans, including Dundee ones, had heard of Tony Docherty before he landed the Dens job? How many of us had heard of Stephen Robinson? The club and agents will have a far better idea than we do, as they have access to a lot more information. Anyone knowing Stevie Hammell, i.e. Stepehen Craigan would have been very surprised at his appointment. Not all of these names were/are successful of course but it just shows how left field names land jobs. This winless run simply can't go on much longer.

Not all managers in work have contracts. Some have release clauses. I simply don't know who is available. Who on here would have come up with names like Jim Gannon, Ian Baraclough, Graham Alexander or Nick Montgomery?

Often interested candidates don't show interest until a vacancy arises. It's not our job to identify candidates but rather that of the Directors. We don't know which managers are out of contract and which aren't.

Before folk start to pile in, this NOT a political post, purely factual. Most of our top league players are paid £50,000 per year or more and many over £100,000. Recent tax changes being brought forward in Holyrood mean that they will be paying more tax playing in Scotland than in England (roughly £1.5K annually at £50K to £7.5K annually at £200K). At best that'll make very little difference to Scots' clubs attrativeness to English based players, or ability to retain our own youngsters, but at worst it could make it considerably worse. Just another ingredient in the mix in our ongoing battle with English or foreign clubs.

Currently, we do have a chairman, CEO and our club is not in financial trouble. Sacking the manager is never ideal but if things deteriorate even further on the pitch then the Board will act. The directors have the legal duty to act in the best interests of the club.

Yes a simple statement to that effect could have allayed much anxiety and fear. Most of us are still a bit uncertain as to what all of this means. As far as the women's team is concerned is it not an SPFL requirement for us to have one? I guess the annual cost will be in 5 figures. I think they attract some central funding. Personally I'm all for our ladies team but the commercial side needs to be improved. Easier said than done though.

Thanks to Jim McMahon and Derek Weir for their service and stepping into the breach in times of need. The club has seemed rudderless for some time though. All that said, I don't know what to make of their departure and the timing. It could mean several things. Maybe we are following Dundee's model, in part. Private investment would be very welcome, but would investors step forward if the Society is still the largest shareholders? If the Society is to sell a significant number of shares then that would require members' approval. Tonight our future ownership/governance is uncertain. Some clarity is required ASAP.

Exactly Allan. Because of media exposure, the English Premier League and perhaps their Championship too are seen, by many, as being of the "normal standard" against which to judge our and other leagues. For me our Premiership is "normal". Some years the standard is better than others. It is what it is.

I'm still of the same opinion. We should change now. Yes things have improved a bit and today wasn't a bad result. However we now need wins, not draws.

I get why you're pessimistic, but you're a bit premature. Time isn't on our side though.

A good result today and we picked up an unexpected point. That combined with Livingston's failure to win means that we're no worse off. As things stand though, Livingston and us are the two weakest teams in the league. Despite a modicum of optimism, our winless run continues. Others may know better but I think I think its our longest winless run for some 28 years? In 1995 it was 15 games.
