  1. Only as regards our players
  2. Unless the transfer embargo is overturned they'll be making bids for no one.
  3. Being as £22 for a seat in the East Stand is already considered a tad high, I doubt it.
  4. This is the ins & outs thread. Rangers are relevant here if we are rumoured to be taking one of their players, or if one of ours is moving in the opposite direction. If you want to discuss the effect of their financial plight or SPL status on our club, do so in one of the many other threads.

    Randolph

It looks as though Randoph hasn't made the Ireland squad for Euro 2012, but he has been listed as a stand-by player. They chose to go with Shay Given, Keiren Westwood, and David Forde.
  6. Steelboy, let's keep the chat in this thread to Motherwell-related transfer talk, eh? You've got other threads to discuss your big team in. Would that be considered a better move than the Blackpool move though?
  7. It's becoming easier to see who on this forum has a "big team" that they support alongside the 'Well
  8. Trying to keep both Hammell & Lasley is a no-brainer really. I was saying that if it came down to a choice between Craigan for another season or Clancy, it would be Clancy all day long as far as I'm concerned.

    Fans' Game

    Who were the managers?
  10. Only if the vote goes against Rangers. We'll no doubt have fat Ally greetin about transparency and the like again, demanding to know who's responsible for "killing" Scottish football.
  11. Does anyone else see the problem with giving a NEWCO the boot, then asking for lowering of ticket prices? Combining both simply isn't an option.
  12. His recent performances on TV & radio suggest he's greasing the wheels to join the "in crowd" we have in the Scottish media. He's been a great servant to the club, and I love him as a player, but I have a feeling my respect for him is going to take a hit every time he appears on the telly or radio over the coming years. If it came down to offering him another year or tying up Clancy, I'd take Clancy every time.
  13. The truth is, the SPL and Scottish football has been slowly dying for years now, even with the almighty Old Firm gracing us with their presence. Voting Rangers back in with no sanctions, as has been suggested by some media outlets, simply allows the status quo to continue with the added bonus that the Rangers fans will now be able to legitimately chant "we are the people". If someone wishes to tell me that the financial input we get from a shit Rangers is worth more to us than the financial clout fed into Serie A by a world class Juventus side that included the likes of Del Piero, Ibrahimovic, Nedved & Buffon then I'd have to disagree. Juventus were found guilty of cheating in Serie A. Financial common sense would have seen them remain within Serie A. They were relegated to Serie B, had two league titles stripped, and were banned from the Champions League the following season. Even the argument that Rangers fans and some media like to use about the actual people responsible no longer being at the club, thus punishing the actual club isn't fair didn't wash in the Juve case, did it? It was a select few directors involved in that case, yet the club were hit with the appropriate sanctions. There was no thought given to how it would affect the financial state of clubs like Livorno, Messina or Palermo. It was an open and shut case of sporting integrity being challenged. It really should be as simple in this case as well. The very fact that it isn't is down to the actual SPL not wanting to punish Rangers, especially with Bill Miller making it clear that he wants to buy them with no future punishments against them.
  14. Only on a Motherwell forum could such a thread be started on the same week that we're looking virtual certs for the Champions League qualifiers!
  15. If there's any justice in the game Stuart McCall should get it, simple as that. Especially if we get to the Champions League. If that nugget Lennon gets it I'm going to cry.
  16. You'd be down in the dumps if your big team were staring into the abyss as well mate.
  17. An absolute joke if we get into the Champions League and McCall doesn't get the award.
  18. I know it may be taken as a reaction to todays game, but could McCall be considered the best manager in the league at the moment? I think he has to be in with a shout. I know that Celtic fans will point their grubby little fingers in the direction of Neil Lennon, but when you consider the resources available to both managers you really have to say that McCall is "pound for pound" the best in the country!
  19. We couldn't be going into this game in a better position really, having seen United drop points and putting five past St Johnstone. I don't think there'll be much for McCall to do as far as team selection goes, as it has to be the same eleven who started today. Just a case of keeping things ticking over until Tuesday I reckon.

    St Johnstone

I don't know if there's much point in making a poll this week, it's Humphrey all the way. He was easily our best player today.
  21. Best of all is the fact that it was the same person who started both threads!
  22. You can't complain too much? We've just cuffed a team who were challenging us for third a few weeks ago 5-1! You can't complain at all!
  23. Maybe best to avoid an internet message board then.
  24. We haven't been relegated in almost 30 years. I said it was the best football I'd seen in years, not decades.
